Hey guys....
I meant to post this several weeks ago when I had my timing belt changed. Here are some pics of the belt and parts and how they looked after 110,000 miles. First off...the belt:

Overall......I think the belt looked like it was in decent shape. I didn't find any frays or cracks in it. Now.....the tensioner:

The idler pullies were starting to weep a bit of grease out of them. They may have been a weak link in the system if they would have gotten worse. Finally....the water pump:

The water pump looked solid. There was no play in the sprocket and there was no grease weeping out.

So.....there youn have it. Pics of my timing belt parts after 110,000 miles. I'm overjoyed to have that finally done.

***I would like to give a public shout out and "thank you" to Geordi. He was in my area just after I had this done and he graciously stopped by my place for an hour and a half to give me his thoughts, opinions, insight, and knowledge on the CRD and how he thought mine was running. That kind of information is like gold*** THANKS GEORDI!

Jim

Happy to be able to help, that was actually one of the last trips I took my CRD on before this current lifter / rocker nonsense started.

Your CRD parts look about like I would expect them to, and I agree about the idlers - That is what grease ejection looks like when it starts, so no need to leave those in service. The tensioner looked great, so that should be a good spare if they didn't replace it during the job.

Good to go for another 100k!
