Hey Guys I Just bought a 2012 Jeep Liberty Jet Limited for 26,500USD. I think that's a pretty good deal considering even the salesrep and manager weren't exactly too happy at the price lol

Anyway so this is my first real car and I want to take good care of it so I was wondering if you guys would recommend any floormats or something so I can keep my beautiful Jeep ones protected. Also something for the back so I don't over scratch it with groceries or anything of that sort. Last, but not least. There's always the issue of having to polish or scrub headlights to get rid of the fog. I was wondering if in today's technological world there is some sort of screen protector (like phones) or anything to protect them. So far I have only seen hard covers that look completely different and something I love about this jeep is the look of the headlights and grill and want to avoid messing with that :P

If you guys think I'm missing anything let me know

Anyway I wasn't sure where to post so hopefully this is good. by the way, that's my Jeep on the photo <3

Welcome and for the inside weather tech floor mates are your best friend a little pricey but you can pour a whole can of soda in them without a worry in the world. As for the head lights if they are fogging up like condensation wise then the only thing you can do is replace them if they are oxidizing I would just do the same instead of spending money and a lens restoration kit. As far as protecting them from either I don't think I have ever seen anything after market that is up to the task.

Thanks, the Jeep is new; however, in general with previous cars I've seen, the headlights fog up with time and some car polish and a lot of rubbing usually leaves them nearly like new, but I was wondering if there was something to prevent that while the car is still new. I imagine that the fog is more of corrosion to the glass because of wind and dust particles than condensation since the car polish in a way polishes the glass and smoothens it again.

What about a simple rug/floormat for the back (cargo area). Any brand recomendations?

I'll have a look at the weather tech floor mats. I'd rather spend a lot now since it will pay off in lenghtening the life of the jeep and keeping that "new look"

Any recommendations for that? Keeping the new look to the Jeep?

Huskie liner or I think weathertech makes one for the rear also I know they did for our excursion.

Welcome Welcome 8)
Definitely the floor mats. If you live in a snowy area, or even with regular rain you will be so happy.
If you get in and out of your Jeep a lot in the rain, you will see how much water accumulates in the mats, triple that amount for snow
All you have to do is either take paper towels, or just pick up the whole mat and pour out, lol.

I have the full set of Husky Liner floor mats and love them. They are an excellent middle ground solution between stock and Weathertech. The weather techs are known to be thicker and more durable, but cost a lot more. The Husky Liners I bought last year are plenty durable and have held up fine, and they are also molded to fit the footwells/trunk and can catch a ton of spilled soda or melted snow. I'm happy with them.
