Not sure where you found these pics but they seem fake. Below are actually spy shot of the 2014 Jeep Liberty.

That's the test mule. It's an Alfa body on the new drive train. They did the same thing for the Dart. That's not the production body.

Either way I hate both. This would be fine as the Compass/Patriot replacement. But not as the Liberty/Cherokee.

However, the finished shot is just a rendering from All Par. It doesn't even have door handles on it.

The more and more I look at it. I don't trust the person that did the rendering. All she did was embellish the current front nose that's on the Compass right now and throw it on there. Even the fog light pockets are the same. I'm not buying it. I'll wait until the debut In January.

It was said over a year ago that the new Liberty replacement would be carlike, but would have a trail-rated option. Don’t be in denial, what you see above is what you are getting.

This is funny
People didn't like the YJ when it came out
others or most didn't like the XJ, but look now at the following they have
people didn't like the KJ, but look how many are on the road
remember when a buddy bought a brand new 72 CJ5 Renegade, everyone made fun of his "fancy " Jeep. :ROTFL: By the way he still has it :banghead:
and life goes on
yeah I'm old so I remember when they ( YJ and XJ ) came out

And that is very true. I do believe that there is a balance between Jeep traditional styling and modern engineering. The Patriot, for an example, has enough Jeep DNA that it attracts a lot of jeep enthusiasts. Even the Liberty has enough Jeep DNA that enthusiasts are attracted to the model. The new Liberty replacement has very little Jeep DNA, therefore it doesn't attract the crowd of people that the others before it did.

Due to the increased fuel economy, the new Jeep replacement might gain a new crowd, which would make up for the loss of sales that the Jeepheads would normally sustain. I think that's why Jeep is keeping the Wrangler as a standalone platform. Jeep, for those most part, is trying to market to a larger crowd, and I don’t fault them for doing it.

No they "have to " keep trying to market to a larger crowd if they want to keep going.
Overall if you just look at jeep its a very small company. They have to stay alive and that means marketing to folks who would never , ever look at a Wrangler
Really don't see what the fuss is all about
Its like people saying Jeep should never produce a 2 wheel drive, my gosh they have been making them ( 2 wheel drives) for what 50 years or more in various models
Chill out and see what the final outcome is
