we had a great time... we ended up not hooking up with the SIJA Jeep Jam that day because we showed up late and they were all out on the trails already... figured we'd just pay the day pass and go on our own... friend with lifted wrangler on 33's was with us... we only had to use the strap once on one section with deep ruts and no way to straddle them so we got high centered....

we did get some of the liberty comments from some of the others on the trail... we came rolling out of one fairly hard section of trail and drove past a group of really built jeeps and one guy yells "Are you kiddin' me?! You took that through there?!" we just smiled and waved and moved on.

You can check out the rest of my pics here:

Awesome pics man, looks like a great time. Yeah the comments keep coming, beleive me they don't stop....pretty much ever, even when you do awesome on a really tough section, that Wranglers and XJs are getting stuck on and you help em out. But oh well.....to me its like a pile of Canadians hammering on Americans, they just don't know what the $#@% they are talking about!

No worries man, keep on rolling, ignore the fools.

mb818,

looks like it was a great ride, as for the comments - just smile :D as you and your KJ continue to impress those that aren't aware of the KJ's abilities.

thanks!!

we had a blast... and it was our first real wheeling trip in the liberty... only other time offroad was at some farm ground my boss owns... we've been out there so my wife could try out 4-low and see what it's like and practice before we went to any off-road parks...

forgot to add... there was a toyota dealership there testing out the new FJ cruiser... i didn't get any pics (forgot to grab camera when we got out and walked down to watch)... it looks VERY capable in stock form... it definately had factory lockers, though, because it was not spinning any tires goin through some pretty hairy stuff.

i'd be willing to bet that if we had a locker or at least factory trac-loc we wouldn't have needed the strap in that one spot i talked about earlier... i was definately impressed with this thing... so was the wife and friends :D
