If someone can give me a couple if measurement I would really appreciate it.
I am currently designing a rear bumper that I would like to make work with the mopar hitch. The reason i don't want to incorporate a hitch into the bumper itself is because it would require the bumper to either hang down much lower or stick out much further. The rear kk crossmember is a b!tch to work around. I also don't want to risk liability. It will work fine with my curt hitch but I know the mopar one is tucked up a lot more.
First measurement:
I need to know the distance from the center of the bolts to the edge of the hitch. This is on the outside of the hitch.

The next one is a little harder to get. I need to know about how much space there is between the crossmember/body and the hitch tubing. The drawing perspective is looking straight at the rear and assuming there is no plastic bumper cover on. The measurement is between the pinch seam on the crossmember and the hitch.
If you cant get a ruler or tape in there just stick your fingers in and give me an approximete guess. It is where the red circle is.

Any questions let me know.
Thanks

Atthehelm,

from center of the bolt to the other edge of the mounting plate is around 7/8:

Now from the pinch weld under the body to the top of the hitch crossbar varies, but it no greater than 1/4 inch but i would say 3/16 is a better estimate due to the variances.

Hope this helps and good luck with the build!

NP. It's pretty easy to get under there no; I can even sit upright under there. Let me know if you need anything else. Good that the silver tire carrier mount didn't confuse you :P
