Hello everyone, just became a civilian again as of a few days ago, did my time and moving on with my first vehicle (KJ). About $8,000 to drop on my bone stock Jeep. What would you do with that money? :!: :?:

first buy a honkin lift kit, then get moabs wrapped in big tires to your need, after that put 4.10's in it , locking diffs , a bull bar with a winch in case if u get stuck, a exhaust system probably and lastly some real heavy skids. then if needed put some mtx subs in the back if you like some bass.

or at least thats what id do

EDIT i just remembered a vital part. make the interior comfortable and rugged so it can take abuse but not give u any

you just became a civilian - does that mean you have a good job lined up?

if it takes a while to find a job - will you need the 8000 to pay bills?

would the 8K be better in a back to school fund to get a better job in the future?

in terms of the Jeep - think long term - what do you intend to do with it?

Daily driver?

weekend warrior? Winter rat? Drive to the beach?

drive to Moab and run trails?

Decide what you want to do - and then built that Jeep - and don't listen to anyone telling you to build the Jeep they want.....

Under the table jobs then its off to college to become an officer in the USCG.

So far I have these things lined up.

ARB front bumper
Rock lizard rear bumper lightweight version eventually
A JBA 4 inch lift kit
5 Treadwright P235/65R17 PUMA's
All skid row skid plates possible
And a mechanical locker for the rear
Roof rack with all the lights and tie downs for cargo,
Some recovery equipment and a 5 gallon military fuel
can rack I could probably build myself.

This is broad but its been narrowed down to these items, a lift and skid plates are first.
