Thinking of ordering the Rocky Road lift kit. Anyone experienced with this brand or and comments regarding a quality lift will be appreciated.

Rocky Road ......No
Look at AllJs, www.boulderbars.com
or
JeepinByAl, ....www.jeepinbyal.com
For the CRD go with 790 front springs, 948 rear springs, and OME shocks, work better with the CRD also make sure you get the 132Ls for the rear

Any particular reason you don't like the rocky road? Of the two sites you recommend, and cost I'd not a factor, what would you go with?

Either or.

As far as RRO, just do a search here and on every other Liberty forum.
Then you'll understand why we all say no to RRO.

Both sites sell OME springs/shocks
AllJs has a bolt on kit called the Frankenlift
JBA has kits as well that are bolt on but more expensive but way better
or like mentioned buy the springs and shocks and do it yourself
RRO advertises one thing but may not be what you get
JBA also sells Ironman lifts which are another cheaper alternative

Okay, I ordered the Frankenlift II for CRD. And am awaiting delivery. Also upper a arms from JBA. Do I need anything else in your opinion? Are the rear spacers recommended?

Curious about this.

The LostJeeps.com search won't function for me (at all, ever), and I can't seem to find these mysterious posts that Ryn7 mentions regarding RRO using Google.

Those guys (RRO) seem to really know their stuff and actually use it on a regular basis. Until I saw this post, I had been thinking I'd do the Rockfather II when I saved up the cash. Any specifics on why this could be a mistake?

This is why I was thinking I'd go Rockfather II:

New Old Man Emu front custom springs.
Under-the-Top® strut cap and spacers for 3" leveling lift in front.
Old Man Emu or Heavy Dut GR2 front strut shocks.
Custom full height rear springs. Full height! Not small springs with a spacer included.
Rocky Road engineered rear shocks
Optional pre-assembly of the front struts.

And the Deluxe includes:
New Old Man Emu front custom springs.
Under-the-Top® strut cap and spacers for 3" leveling lift in front.
Old Man Emu or Heavy Duty GR2 front strut shocks.
Custom full height rear springs. Full height! Not small springs with a spacer included.
Rocky Road engineered rear shocks
Optional pre-assembly of the front struts.
INSANE ARMS upper A-arm control arms included. More information on these
INSANE ARMS optional bumpstop extensions.

Any further input is greatly appreciated!

So do you trust a slick ad or do you trust people who have actually done a considerable amount of lifts, have, oh what over 165,000 miles personal miles in a lifted KJ? Lots of folks on here have been here 5 to 10 years, have read and seen every type of lift out there.
RRO is not where you want to go trust us

This one seemed to cover all of the issues

http://www.lostjeeps.com/forum/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=51709

and FYI - LOST search is almost worthless - however Google Advanced can find anything - even error codes

just enter site www.lostjeeps.com/forum
