It's a PayPal transaction.

As long as you paid with a credit or debit card, you can initiate a chargeback.

Tom, I don't think that qualifies as bashing, just stating facts. I just think new customers coming on should be aware of how long they are gonna wait. 6 months is nothing, I paid in full in September 2010, 2 YEARS and 3 months ago. Don't expect much for the next 1-2 years is all, curb your enthusiasm. Apparently only new customers get a phone call or e-mail.

If you are going to use this route, PayPal has a 45 day limit after payment is sent for it. I tried it, and apparently 2 years is not only too long to wait for a part, but it is entirely too long to wait to get a refund through PayPal. So now I just have to wait and hope that someday I receive what I paid for.

Good luck.

FYI - I noticed this on the Rock Lizard site - anyone have an ideas what it means?

"October 31, 2012 will be the last day to get any orders in, as we will be closed November and December. We will be using those months for change over of management/ownership, finish all remaining orders, training new employees, build up inventory, and work on new products. A new improved Rock Lizard Fabrications will be re-opening January 2013."

I'm talking about a chargeback initiated by the credit card company or bank that issued the credit or debit card used to fund the PayPal transaction.

If it's not some rinky dink bank then they will get you your money back. Bank of America deposits the funds to your account the same day in most cases.

I agree Elmer, I learned the hard way a couple years ago. Today, I ALWAYS go straight to my credit card company to get any issue resolved, NEVER Paypal. Paypal adds no value, and is a "bloodsucker" in the payment chain.

Kasmir Jones, that's a good lookin' rig. 8) At first I went with the RL Heavy Duty Rear Bumper, then later I decided to save a little weight and switched to the RL Light Duty Bumper. Sometimes you have to wait for good things. Rock Lizard takes a long time to knock out rear bumpers, but its well worth the wait.

If you’re ready to order, then give Rock Lizard a call at the end of January and see if he will take your order. He told me that he won’t take any more orders until he gets caught up. He gets slammed during tax season, so that’s why I’m going to place my next order as early as I can.

Safari racks are very practical. I like the idea of throwing items into a large basket and needing minimal tie-downs and/or netting to secure the items. The rack that I'm getting for my XJ is similar to a safari rack with a mesh floor. I think the Gecko will be a good choice for the KJ, plus I'm having RL add front and rear light tabs.
