Fellas,
When checking the torque on the front axle nut, what is the best way to hold the axle from turning?

3 ways work well...............

1-install the brakes and have someone push on the brake pedal, torque the nut.

2-Install everything, install the wheel with leaving the center cap out, lower tire on the ground, torque axle nut.May or may not work depending on socket used.

3-hammer it on with a good impact and be done with it(what I personally did and never had a issue).

The way I do it is to place a crowbar across or between two lugs (over one lug and under another) with the other end on the ground so the hub can't spin. Can then tighten the axle nut as needed.

Thanks fellas for your help and advice.
Tried the crowbar, but didn't want to damage the lug threads.
After I bleed out the brakes I'll have some one apply the brake peddle and do it that way.
I wanted to do it myself by lowering the tire onto the ground, but my socket does not fit through the OEM wheel center hole.
You'd think the would have engineered the center hole a little larger in diameter so that a socket would fit through there.
