make sure you check around
Just Brakes was going to charge me 600 bucks to "rebuild" the calipers and "machine work". I told them to get away from my jeep.

Goodyear charged me 200 to replace all pads, machine the rotors, and they did a brake fluid flush as well.

my rotors are still pretty beefy so I figured I'll stick with those for a while

If I were you I would check the rotor to see if it actually needs turned or not. If not just replace them yourself. You can put wonderful ceramic pads on all 4 corners for around $100. Normally when you have it done they only give you the cheapest ones on the shelf. remember that next time you go in to have it done.

I had Midas do my fronts last summer when I was still living in my condo. It cost about $320.00 for new rotors and ceramic pads for the front of my Liberty.

I just recently got my rotors turned and ceramic pads in the front and had the rear drums cleaned and adjusted for $159.00 at Budget Brakes.

I cannot believe ppl pay this much for brakes. I really did not know I saved that much by doing this kind of stuff myself. I also could not see myself letting anyone else touch anything part on my jeep other than me. I dont even let my dad do anything to it, and if he does I must be watching him very closely.

If you guys knew how quick, easy, and cheep it is to do a brake job on a Liberty then you would never take it to a shop again.

It takes longer to jack up the jeep and take off the tire than it does to take off the pads and rotors. Some parts store will turn the rotors for free if you buy the pads from them.
I just did the front brakes last month, it took less than 30 minutes and cost under $50 for pads and the rotors turned.
