Well what we need to do is ask gageraid how long he's had them on and see if he has had any problems so far. To me I don't see what the difference between spacers and back spacing would be. The same amount of pressure with both. The only "bad" thing I could think of is instead of tightening 20 nuts you gotta tighten 40. But I'm new to this

Depending on which OEM wheel you have now, you can have something like 35-55mm positive offset(from center)[1.4-2.2"] If you moved to wheels with offsets somewhere in the neighborhood of 5-26mm[0.2-1.0"]
you would be getting the same look.
You are still creating the same adverse forces but may gain in safety from coming apart(depending on wheel quality).

I still have never been able to see hard evidence of them causing damage, but it might be out there somewhere. I think it'd be the same as a rim with less backspacing.

Had them on for 10 months I'd say. No problems with them. Do check them after driving for a month or even sooner cuz I've had one bolt come a little loose before. Hasn't happened since.

The further out from the center of the bearing you get, the more side load you get. The best for the bearing is to carry the weight of the car straight down through the bearing races. The more they get torqued to one side , the faster they offer up the ghost. If you put them 12 feet out, those same forces would pop the bearing apart with just the weight of the car. Same exact deal with the ball joint...levering forces grinding the joint sideways.

That makes sense. I agree on how it wouldn't be really any different with low offset rims than high offset rims and spacers. Either way, I suppose in the end, you have to pay to play.

I'd love to see a picture of those.

On another note, there's just something superior about seeing an Arctic Liberty with those black rims, which is why I just HAD to paint mine.

I love my black rims on my Arctic. Which is why I don't want to get different rims and wanna roll with spacers. My storm troopered libby lol. Even got rid of the chrome badges and the ones I wanted to keep I blacked em out.

I'm considering spacers too. I love my Renny Rims and the only ones I would consider replacing them with is the TJ Moabs. That being said, do the Moabs have different backspacing that the KK Renegade rims? If so what kind if difference is there? Anybody know?

I believe that the renegade rims have 5.5" back spacing and are 7" wide.
The TJ Moabs have 5" backspacing and are 8" wide

Plug your tire size and rim dimensions into this calculator and you can see how they compare.
http://www.rimsntires.com/specs.jsp
Going to the Moabs will add 1.5" per side moving the inner edge out .5" plus the extra 1.0" in rim width.

When I went from my moabs to steel KJ wheels on my rubicon, my width was narrowed by 3" total at the outside of the tires
