So I'm just waiting on my OME/Bilstein parts to arrive want to get everything in order before I install. Can anyone point me in the direction of a good write up explaining how to disassemble and put together front shock and spring. Not how to get them out I got that part but actually rebuilding the "strut" with new coil and shock? Also I have a shop near by in Denver that says they will do both for $60 is that a good price? Really trying to do all the work myself but kinda nervous of using a spring compressor with HD coils. Any help would be much appreciated.

DON'T DO THE SPRING ASSEMBLY YOURSELF!!

Have the shop disassemble your current springs & shocks and use the top and bottom mounts to reassemble the new components. When the shop is done with them put them back in the Jeep and be thankful you're alive.

The fingers on most manual spring compressors get stuck between the coils and you're not able to get the compressor back out again - if it hasn't flown apart and killed the user beforehand.

For a write-up on how to put it all together take a look at this Hot-To.

Awesome, thank for the reply. I see you have Bilstein shocks yourself. Was also wondering how many washers you used on the top rear shock mounts? Or how you got them to fit properly. I hear there is a little bit of a gap.

Could someone tell me what the O-rings in the shock bushing set are for? I'm using some Rancho RS5000 shocks on the rear of my Libby, and it's developing a clunk from the rear. I think, and I'm hoping, it's because there are no metal sleeves in the shocks. I pressed the bushings out of the original shocks, but haven't got around to putting the sleeves into Ranchos....
