Can I just straight swap my differentials...

With those from a 4 banger 4x2 without changing anything else? I guess I'm asking if it is a straight swap... Front and rear...

If its a 4X2 then there would be no front diff
If its a 4X4 then yes you could
of course some of the earlier models have rear drum brakes ( which can be swapped over to disc)

But I had to satisfy my curiosity. If I ever go to 4.10's I guess it'll be with new ring & pinions.

Oooooh this is exciting!! Seems as though I can get the front and rear from the same truck for $400.00 cha Ching!! Even better is they are only 150 miles from me... And have less than 60k! Truck had a lot of electrical issues... So the owner is parting it out... Looks like ill have 4:10's this spring! Who wants to come help swap em out in my backyard
