hello every one! im a new owner of a jeep liberty! well used but new for me i just wanted to share with you guys/girls some pictures of my adventures with my jeep and tell you a little about my experience with my new jeep.
i bought my about 6 months ago used from nissan, I did my home work when shopping around for my car. I had a 2005 volvo xc90 awd and it had its runs off road not the best, after 90000 miles the car started to fall apart the tranny gave in, the motor started to misfire, my whole dash panel light wouldn't turn on, the ac had a mind of its own, It would only have one setting super cold high and on all the time, and i couldn't turn the dang thing off so i had to tap in to the fuse box and add a on/off fuse switch, and the dealership wanted a arm and a leg to fix all this!
so i gave in and started to shop around, i started with the toyota fj, Some of my buddies have them and they love it, i kinda did like the car other then my girl friend told me it looked like a submarine on wheels and toyota wouldn't budge on the price that made it off the list quick, then i walked over to jeep with really wanting a jeep cherokee 2012 overland, Oh man it was it beautiful but for the price i didn't want a car payment over 400 a month, walking around the jeep lot i saw a 2012 liberty but it wasn't 4x4 , so i went over to nissan and saw this black 2010 jeep liberty limited 4x4 with sky slider and leather seats, o man did i fall in love with it! the asking price was $24,300 with 45000 miles on it, I went home and did my home work on the sky slider and over all rating of this liberty, knowing the problems the skylslider had i went for it thinking big deal it never rains in the desert wind noise really how bad can it be? Next day i went over to nissan put my game face on and was able to talk them down to 16500 with no trade in and only 2000 down.
so far so good no leaks with the sky slider, wind noise i can't stand any more! driving over 40mph it starts other then that i love it!
im currently working on a fix for the sky slider i bought a universal wind defector on amazon, and will try to heat up the plastic just so i can bend it enough fit well with the curve of the car, hopefully this will work ill post more info on it when its done it seems like a hit and miss ;0( im going to get a lift from jeepinbyal.com OME-KK-1.5-3.7 what are your toughts about this lift let me know!@ . any way boring story now time for the pictures,

Welcome to the forum. Beautiful jeep and scenery man! There's a ton of great info here I'm sure you'll find it very useful...as for the Ome it's one of the best lift you can get I personally don't have it yet due to funding but that'll change a lot of people run that and jeepinbyals 2.5 and 4 inch lift.

Welcome. Glad you're excited!
Wow that must have a long grueling day at the dealership to talk them down 30 plus%!
I'm running ome springs 927s/731s they are awesome, its a tried and true quality lift. It gives more like 3+" of lift.
Iirc there was a how to fix on skyslider wind noise somewhere on here just search around...

I have a 2010 sport and really like it. I put the OME lift on and couldn't be happier with the ride. You'll want Al's upper control arms, teraflex bumps for the front and Al's bumps for the rear but I doubt the springs will allow it to bottom out over bumps. Better safe that sorry, especially if you plan on wheeling it. Done forget skids and recovery points as well. Mine surprises me every time I take it out, these things go pretty good off road. Oh, don't waste your money on spacer lifts. You can add a few spacers to a suspension lift but spacer lifts aren't any good when the springs start to sag. The stock springs are crap.
Got any mods planned for her yet?

I hear the hypertech programmer is better than the jet chip.

No, it costs more but from what I hear it's worth it. It's on my short list. Search around, there are a few conversations about it. :D

You got that right, Ted. If you can afford the Hypertech, I recommend it 100 percent. You should go on their website first, and read a little about who they are and why they tune. It's like night and day when you have a Hypertech.

Nice that's what I'm looking for soft ride on the streets And A super comfortable ride off-road which I normally do about three times a month being that I live in Palm Springs there's a lot of trails to do
I did my research on the hypertec and the jet chip
I've been reading a lot of forms I really don't think you can go wrong with either or But hypertec is definitely the way to go,
I'm going to use the money I have saved up for my lift and then get the hypertec

You guys are awesome thanks for replaying to my post
Just a quick update on the wind deflector pretty awesome results!
I still get someone wind nose on the sky slider but not as bad as it used to be at all!
I would say about 75% nose Reduction

Thought those Volvos were suppose to last forever :?: Oh well. Did the wind deflector cut down on the wind noise?
