Yikes well glad you are okay, ah yes MPH would be the correct term... Thanks for the info, I get around 20 as it is in the city, including rush hour stop and go for 15 mins or so.. so I guess I am okay right now. Thanks for the info though, not sure how I could reliably test that in my 20 minute commute though..

Just curious, are you calculating your mpg by hand or by the EVIC computer reading? Word on the street is that they're not 100 percent accurate, but I can't vouch for that.

I've done it by hand and had EVIC running five times or so. Tend to see that EVIC runs between 0.5-1.3 mpg over what the math is, mostly under 1 mpg off though.

Yeah, I have not filled the tank enough to get a good average of datapoints to work from. But being roughly 1 MPG off, "assuming above" still sounds like I'm getting a great average! :SOMBRERO:

I do all of mine by hand since I don't have EVIC(1 regret lol). During winter break I was basically 99% city and was averaging about 12mpg. Depending on my foot and other variables I can get better or worse lol

I do all of my calculations by hand too (or rather I have Fuelly do it). Miles travelled divided by gallons fueled each time I get gas. No Evic here either. 12 mpg was about what I was getting in the city before I got a Scangauge. I can usually pull off 14 mpg now, keeping an eye on my fuel usage. Without the instant feedback it would be difficult to improve the mpg's a much, but 2 mpg better is an improvement of about 15%, which will eventually pay for the Scangauge.

Seeing the real time instant mpg helps so much! Kind of wish I had the Scangauge instead of my Ecometer, but it'll do.

Tracking mine on fuelly.com. Got both my Liberties and VW TDI. Just started tracking it so my last 3 fill ups have given me a 15.1 avg. Not bad because it's about 300-400lbs heavy over off the showroom floor and that includes the 255/65 16's. Just got a new VW Passat TDI so the Jeep has been holding down the driveway the past couple of weeks. I think this is the longest I've gone with a full tank since I bout it new in 2009

I'm averaging 16-17mpg city with a/c cranked up. On highway trips I average around 20-21mpg.

I haven't filled up completely in a couple weeks so I can't say what I'm currently getting.

When I have checked it by hand and using Fuelly i'm at 17+ MPG.

I bought it in Pittsburgh and drove it home to Charlotte, NC. I ended up getting around 20-21 MPG.
