Hey everybody, my posts are few and far between but I've still got the KJ. Its doing well and I'll have to post a picture of it here soon. Anyway.... the reason why I am here.

I did some searching around, not very much because I got frustrated real quick for some reason tonight, but what is the plastic piece called that connects the linkage of the transfer case to the actual transfer case? It's the little plastic piece that is known for breaking. I can't find out what it is called or find a part number... therefore it is hard to buy a replacement. Anyway if anyone could help that'd be great.

Thanks everybody and Keep on Jeepin on.

There is a little black rubber bushing that fits in the white plastic sleeve the at the end if the linkage, then the bushing slides directly over the t-case selector pin. If the bushing is bad, you can replace that (it's listed in the catalogue as "bushing") but if the white plastic portion is broken I think you have to replace the entire linkage (handle and all). Or you can rig it up with some small u bolts used for connecting cable- mines been going strong like that for over 2 years...

Thank you for the response. I believe that it is just the bushing that I need. I checked it the other day and it seems that the plastic piece is still intact, it just slides on and off that one part easily... which I would assume the bushing would fix. I'll check the parts store on the way home from school and see what I can get.
