Not sure if you can or not, but it is really annoying to have my doors lock when im in the woods and have to go back to the drivers door to unlock the rest. Is there any way to turn this off? I cant stand it!

I'm not sure what you mean. If you have the remote key(s) that came with the vehicle you can unlock it from like 50'+ away. If you don't like the autolock at 15mph feature you can turn that off from the EVIC or a dealer can do so. I'd suggest you take a look at the Owner's Manual, on the top shelf in the glove box or download from Jeep or Sir Sam's NOOB guide, for how the various options operate. In the 05 OM see pg 132 for a start. FYI don't forget to figure out how the silly child proof switches in the rear doors operate as that can cause a problem if they are turned on.

If you have an EVIC you can turn that feature off. I have mine on but with the system programmed to unlock all the doors when the driver's door is opened. If you lack the EVIC it's my understanding that a dealer can do the same programming with a scan tool.

Re the owner's manual. Open the glove box and feel inside it up at the top. There is a semi-invisible shelf there where the manual hides that is easy to overlook. If not there then go online.

I will take a look at that!!! Do you know if a Snap-on Modus will turn it off?

I have no clue what scan tools will work other than the dealer if any. Had no reason to learn as I have the EVIC.

If you lack the EVIC I'd still suggest reading up on what things like door locks can be programmed so if you do have to go to the dealer you can get all the settings you want done in a single visit.

Just went thru the same thing with my 05 Sport (no EVIC). The key-on-off-lock-unlock voodoo procedure in the manual did not work, so when I had it at the dealer for the trailing arm recall, I had them shut off the auto-lock and horn-beep-on-lock features.

The liftgate will still lock, regardless :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:
