Hello,

I have a 2006 Jeep Liberty CRD and am taking it to Africa. I look forward to learning from the members of Lostjeeps. I am the original owner, and the vehicle is stock. I inow there are many great modification ideas on here, and look forward to sorting out what might work well for this vehicle.

Paul

They sell these in South Africa (except for some of the emissions stuff)
and that'll probably be your best source of parts.

Zambia is another country I want to visit someday
But only have been making trips to Tanzania so far.
Have good friends in Botswana as well
I know there is a Jeep dealership in Dar-es-Salaam ( Tanzania)
but haven't checked any other countries yet

Zambia must be a fun place to own a KJ, I grew up in Senegal and spend a few years in Ghana, Togo, Benin but was a dirt bike rider at the time. Wouldn't mind going back and take my CRD along...

Have fun and send some exotic pics !

It took a long time to get it here from the U.S., and we just recently started putting miles on it. I agree. Zambia is a good place for the vehicle. You have lived in some interesting places - Benin and Senegal even. We have found Southern Star Motors here in Lusaka has some Jeep parts, but I found several dealerships in Durban, SA a few weeks back.

Zambia is an interesting country, lots to see and still lots of bush to traverse. We will be going to Victoria Falls for our first long road trip.
