Anyone have the Wrangler Silent Armor tires and if so, what's the performance been off road? I'm looking to purchase new tires around April/May and want to upgrade from the stock tires to something a little more capable. The MTRs sound great but I don't do that much wheeling and the extra noise from the more agressive tread would not make the wife happy. So I'm thinking the Wrangler SA's might be a good trade-off. Any info on real world experiences with the SA's on the trail?

I am in the exact same position. I found a local dealer who will match price of the Goodyear Wrangler Silent Armor and REVOs. I know people here really like their REVOs but I want to hear from others who have tired Wrangler SA.

Thanks for the links to those posts. I had read them a while back but didn't think to look for them again before posting. Longarm had a great write-up on his SA's and I was just looking to see if anyone else had any other experiences.

When I bought my new 06 Renegade I had a set of Silent Armor's put on and I love em. They've seen deep snow, mud, flooded areas, and everyday driving. I'm happy with their perfomance in all of these areas.

Do you have a lift? Any rubbing on those 245's?

No lift and zero rubbing, they are exactly the same diameter but wider, I live the new look and the new tires are much thicker on the sidewalls and seem to be more quiet than the ST's.

You will freak out when you see the ST's off the rims. They are flimsy paper thin pieces of junk.

not being a punk, but that's a picture of the Fortera Silent Armor's, and they were asking about the Wrangler Silent Armor's. Other than the Kevlar it's a totally different tire. But I agree about how crappy the ST's are.
