I bought a set of Mickey Thompson Classic IIs for my KJ. I've noticed some stains appearing on the rims, almost "milky" looking run marks on all four wheels. I assume this is normal for polished aluminum rims to tarnish from normal wear and tear?

Anyone have a safe product to polish them without damaging the rim.

Thanks.

Eagle1 makes an awesome polish for alum., chrome, etc. Its wadding polish. You tear off chunks of ... cotton I assume, and it has all the polish in it. It does a great job on newer wheels that don't have alot of stains. Mothers also makes a great wheel polish also. It's the paste type so it's a little more like waxing the rest of the car. Mothers is better for the older stained wheels. What ever you do if they are alum. DO NOT use a cleaner with any kind of an acid in it. That alot of the time is where those type of stains come from. I actually have both kinds from when I detailed cars. I would hit it with a good coat of Mothers and if the stain is still there use the wadding polish.

Do that on 5 or 6 cars a day and see how they feel. Lets just say thanks to 7 years of detailing cars I have forearms that Popeye would be jealous of :D .
