Rear glass latch will open and move around but will not lock in closed position to keep window locked down.
Had the KJ for a year and this issue started last night when I took my son to hockey in that storm of course.
I'm aware of the latch releasing issue that most of us learn to deal with early on.

But the glass will not lock into place now and the interior lights stay on like it doesn't sense the tailgate being closed.
Any ideas or has this already been covered somewhere else on site?

Today, I wedged a perfectly fitting candle between the glass and spare to get to work.
Please help! Dave

If it's not the micro switch issue I suspect if you look closely that you will find on the door side that the latch has been tripped to the closed position hence when you close the window it hits the closed latch. IIRC this happened, don't recall why, on stoutdog's 06 and we had to fiddle around a bit to get the latch to flip back to the open position so it would engage when you closed the window. I vaguely recall that the fiddling around involved applying some minor force to the latch in the open direction but am not at all sure that's a correct memory. I do know we did not have to replace the micro switch.

Thanks, for the reply. The glass latch was in open position to accept the glass but would not lock into position to keep the glass shut. After removing (and cracking the door panel) I (key word, like you said) fiddled with the glass latch and found the lever that holds the glass shut would not engage but after sometime it got it to engage again. Now I'm all fat, dumb and happy. Thank you for helping me! I really appreciate it. Dave

Unplugging the micro-switch might have helped too because I did unplug it in the process. Thanks, D
