I'm to the point where I am need to start looking at new tires. As of now I'm stock with on the clevis level, running 245/75R16. I haven't had any issues with this size yet, but I'm looking for a wider footprint. I know 265/75r16 are a no along with any 32's without re-gearing. I do plan on putting the ome or tommud lift on before long. Would running a 275/70r16 like a bfg a/t work being as they are still only 31's. Now that is on the stock rim. I am willing to add spacers or going with a different rim if need be. Just seen that going taller is for the most part not the greatest but have not seen anything about going wider. I've even considered something like a 265/60r18 even if I decide to get rims even.

Even with a 275-70-16 its a 31.2 inch tall tire ( looking at the BFGs)
Most 265-75-16s run around 31.5-32 depending on brand and tread type
so its not that much difference
Sticking to a 30.5 -31 you'll still lose some power and mileage but would be a "little" more manageable
With stock gearing its still hard to beat the 245-75-16 or 265-70-16s

Alright, ill keep on looking around then. Basically I don't want to go over that 31 mark. I still haven't decided what I want to do yet. Figured a 245/75 m/t or try to find something wider than that if I went to an a/t. On the 275 those would they be alright if I regeared, or be to wide

Look at the 265-70-16s , little bit wider than the 245-75s and about the same height
I ran that size on my KJ for a while before regearing and liked them. Work pretty good on a 7 or 8 inch wheel as well . Running that size on my trailer now
