How many times have you changed your fuel filter since the bad fuel? Once may not have been enough...could have already clogged the new one.

I had bad fuel once and I had to replace the filter at 100 and 500 miles and that was after I dropped the tank and flushed everything with new fuel from tank to filter. Once I got it purged though it's been fine and I just change it routinely about every 15k or so. Dropping the tank is no fun but you may have contamination in the tank itself that is being drawn into the pick up tube. I don't know if that helps or not, but it worked for me.

Maybe new sensor but more to the point go to Sam's NOOB guide; scroll down to the link to FSMs and parts fiche; follow that link and get the best fit documents for your 2.5 which was not sold in the US. Sam's MAP sensor picture is applicable to 05 and 06 2.8L engines.

Yeh, the sensor is the rite one.. ive been talking to a guy in ireland whos breaking his, hes got all the sensors still on his engine! his timing belt went so he knows the engine was a good runner!! wot i descoverd with the map out was i could rev the engine up, selsct. 5 th gear and load the engine, no stall!! with sensor in same test but as soon as load is applyed engine cuts out, its like boost pressure is is too much? on reading the map controls boost v fuel injection so have got to start ther....will let you no how i get on? has anybody got a reference on taking fuel pressure by measuring resistance of rail pressure sensor? i worked for hitachi sum years ago and we could do it on the isuzu diesels?
