Right now I have a daystar 2.5 in leveling kit on my 2005 jeep liberty renegade and the 265/70 R16s I bought for it are going to be too close to the fender and are most likely going to rub. Now I just ordered 1.25 inch wheel spacers and a rusty's 2.5 suspension lift to replace the leveling kit. Will the 265/70s fit after that or should I add a little more lift to make room for them?

First can you stop the order for the Rustys kit?
If so please do 265-70s will work at first but if you use that kit within a short time the springs will be sagged back down to stock height, sorry
The Rusty springs are rated same a stock and don't hold up well

What kind of lift do you recommend around the same price as the rusty's?

Haven't looked at Rustys prices lately since they're below average
but Ironman makes a good setup, its 711. from JeepinByAl
OME is a little more than that but lasts a long time
Gives a good lift and great ride , I've ran it for a while and installed it
I mean you can install Rustys but the last one I installed it sagged back down to within 1/2 inches of stock height in no time and the guy never offroaded but a couple of times

That ironman lift looks good. Anyway I can add another inch and half of lift to it though?

The spacers you got should be enough to keep the tires from rubbing your front sway bar when you turn. My advice would be to pound down your pinch weld if they rub there, install extended bump stops (terra flex front and hockey puck rear...look it up) and then just cut away at your plastic until they fit. As far as the suspension goes, I can personally vouch for the quality of OME and the outstanding customer service at Jeepin By Al. I went with an OME and Bilstein setup for about a month before I got some of the JBA control arms and let me tell you that they made a world of difference in the ride and handling, not to mention solving some rather serious problems you get from having the original arms on a lifted KJ. As far as rustys goes I have no firsthand experience but they definitely get no love here.

Edit
Just wanted to add something about throwing more stuff into your lift to clear bigger tires...just effing cut that plastic away. I mean the lower bumper valence, the wheel well liners, wherever it rubs. People will add extra tall top plates and too many clevis spacers and spacers inside the strut, just chasing a certain number for lift height, but in doing so youve compromised a lot mechanically. You're going to end up running your cv axles at an angle that will lead to premature failure, you're going to get your upper balljoints contacting your springs leading to failure, the list goes on. The point I'm getting at is dont stack crap on top of more crap to try to fit the biggest tire possible. And even if you only drive on the street and just want a lift and tires to make the Liberty look cooler (totally understandable) all of that still applies. You'll end up spending more in repairs than if you take a measured approach and buy quality parts from the get-go.

You'll get more than 2.5 inches with the lift with out anything else. Then you can add to it for more if you want .
Here is one (Maroon one ) with 3/8 inch clevis and 1/4 inch top plate / Ironman springs /shocks and 245-75-16 tires, same height as the 265-70-16 you want to run. Its sitting with 3.75 inches of lift

as far as cutting away the liner etc there is no need to. haven't on any that we've lifted here
pound over the pinch weld sure but no hacking
Also some mention wearing out your CVs
mines been lifted for over 165,000 miles ( its the black one in the picture above) I just had to replace the left side CV the other day, right side replaced twice once due to a stick going through the boot at just the right angle. As long as you stay under 22.50-22.75 you're good . Also notice the spring picture of the maroon one no cutting of the liner etc was needed

The purple one looks like it works really well with the stock plastic intact. What I was getting at is that if the O.P. was going to combine the daystar spacers with the rusty's lift to fit larger tires, he'd be better off trimming to make them fit than to do that. re-reading it now i see that wasn't the plan in the first place anyway.
