Its kind of an odd size, the factory ones have a D shape to them to fit properly. The flat part of the D is on top.
Best bet is to get the factory lights and wire them up, looks much better
I have two sets of NOS 02-04 fog lights here, just need the wiring and bulbs is all
Oh and they are about 5 inches across at the round part

My left factory fog light just went out the other day and I need to replace it. I was wondering the same thing on size/what to replace it with. The guy at the auto parts store wasn't of any help. Was going to make a new thread but saw this one so figured I'd hijack it.

I have the type of fogs that are in the grill just under the headlights not in the bumper. (mine is the one with the black grille in the picture to show)

Thank you for the response. So what you are saying is if I order I think it's 6" foglight they will not fit I should go ordering the factory ones? And also I'd like to install a few up on the roof rack I really do not wish to drill through my roof is their and alternate route I can take

6 inch light will not fit in a 5 inch hole, plus a 6 inch light is actually larger than 6 inches
If you have a roof rack and want lights up there just mount them to the rack
But mainly they will be for looks anyways since you hardly ever use them unless its a trail only rig and you do a lot of night riding

thats not what he said either...he said they are not round...go to rockauto.com and order the stock fogs and get ones that fit the holes right. they are NOT round lights. they are D shaped so a round light will not fit quite right.

they are 47.79 a piece on rock auto...or go visit a junk yard

see there are always other options. but i would rather have fogs that are ment to go in there than ones I MADE fit

I would as well, and the reason why I am offering up some of my own NOS lights ( as in New Old Stock) ones that were made to go into those holes from the factory
