Does this happen with every Liberty? When I lock the door with the key remote and the alarm is activated, it goes off when I manually unlock the door with the key and open it. How do I fix this so it doesn't hapen, but keep the alarm activated when the door is locked?

In other words, is there a way to disarm the alarm by sticking the key in the lock, or can it only be disarmed by using the remote?

Did you install aftermarket security system or the OEM system?
It shouldn't goes off if you are using OEM system and manual unloack the door.
I just test it myself. :jester:

May be you need to go to the dealership. :goink:

It is the OEM alarm system. It goes off when I manually unlock it then open the door.

Try roll down the window and pull the lock up then open the door from the outside...

Mine does the same. Lock with the remote, unlock with the key and the alarm sounds. I'm happy to leave it that way.

Same here. If you lock it using the door controls it doesn't go off though.

Normal operation and no way to chnage it.Unlock using the FOB to disarm the alarm.
