I looked around and the discussions seem older so why bring them back from the dead. :dead: Who's got them and how did you mount them. PICS!!! I bought a 10 pound thinking I can get it mounted somewhere. Fahgettaboudit! It goes in the garage where I catch fire quite regular. Now I have a 4 pound refillable and a 2.5 pound disposable. I'd like to mount them low under the front seat adjuster so they move with the seat. Anyone done that?

I have a 1kilo Halon mounted to the inside of the passenger seat mount frame. I check it every 6 months (it has a gauge to show internal pressure). It doesn't move with the seat, but it is easily removable in the event of need.

I just went out and took some pics..
I picked it up from Walmart - ~$20.( http://www.walmart.com/ip/16608354?wmls ... 36&veh=sem )
It is in there nice and tight. I am still able to slide the seat all the way forward/back.

The mounting location from under the seat. I used an existing hole in the seat frame, and a small screw. with the door closed it definitely isn't going anywhere.

infernicus, very nice. It looks like you might be able to get the extinguisher without opening the door. Can you?

Woops! Just saw this now, only four months later, lol.
When the door is closed, I can not grab the extinguisher upwards.
I haven't tried, but I think I should be able to slide it forward into the foot well.
If anything, I need to open the driver door about three inches to easily remove it.

I like it at the drivers seat, because thats where I usually am, lol.

In the event of an emergency on the road, I can grab it quickly.
I think I want to put one in the rear as well, because one isn't always enough.

Funny you responded. Thanks! I was at Lowes today trying to find something that looks like a miniature fire extinguisher to put on the end of a paracord ripcord. It is intended to release the extinguisher from its mount under the seat. One on each side. I got deathly sick( projectiling from both ends!) 5 days ago eating some food from Panda Express and I'm just getting around. Today was the first day out! I won't eat there again. :grim:
