I will try and keep up with this forum. Between working, job interview, and everything else on my plate, I have been a busy dude. I would like to participate or just show up and say hi if I am not working.

Did you need your timing belt done too? I thought you might have done it already.

I am going individually to each person's house where their CRD is, this isn't a central-get-together type of thing. I'd be happy to add you to the list... If you let me drive one of the trains.

Three have confirmed, things are coming together!

I have to apologize, I am a bit of a forgetful idiot. I completely forgot, I can accept credit cards, if that makes it easier for you!
Not just through PayPal, but I can also accept your credit cards on-site with a service I use called Square.

If anyone is on the fence, Hopefully this might help.

I'm assuming you're still ok with one dollar bills and "making it rain"?

HAHA! When I sold my Jetta (to buy the CRD) I got paid in cash at a bank. I actually asked them if they had 10k in singles in the bank, so I could do that. Or, swim through it, Scrooge McDuck style.

The humor-less drones at the bank didn't seem to see the joy in that, and declined. They also balked about even handing 10k of 100s over the counter, if even for a few minutes so that it was a cash-to-cash transaction. (We both used BoA at the time) How does a local branch not maintain at least 10k in cash in the vault? She said I should have called in, in advance. They DID have it on hand, and the transaction went the way I wanted, but geez... Banks suck sometimes.

If you guys want to pay in all singles, even John McCain's Golden Dollars... That is OK with me, but the cashiers at B&H might not be so happy! I'm actually thinking I may need to use this to purchase a new camera for my sister's wedding - it looks like I am about to become the videographer / photographer.

I want the new camera... But not that responsibility. I'd rather work on the CRD... It complains less! :-)r

B&H would accept your money any way you hand it to them. Love that place!

The schedule is a bit up in the air at the moment, because I am waiting to see how many others might confirm still. Right now, it looks like I will be in Beantown on the 17th, after Virginia on the 13th and Long Island on the 15th. The days in the middle and end are pending other people's confirmation.

Still some time to confirm if you are on the fence!

Right now, I have had 3 confirmations via Paypal (fully refundable until next Monday) and one who elected to go with a dealer. (I wish him all the best of luck)
If you have been waffling about this, please know that I will be able to reduce everyone's prices if more people sign on, because then more people share the travel costs.

As for the few people that have expressed interest in coming to watch / hang out / shoot the breeze with fellow CRD lunatics, I do not have the right to give out people's addresses. What I will do, is post the member's names and cities of the people that have asked to watch, and the ones that I am coming to work on are asked to contact you directly, if they are willing to have extra visitors.

I'm sure it won't be a problem for you to come and visit, but I'm also sure you understand that it is not my place to make that determination.

Yikes! A Boston area dealer likely charges $2400 for the full TB service. Can't imagine turning down Geordi's offer to come to my door, save me over $1000 and be much less likely to screw anything up.

Ok, here is the list of people that have expressed interest in stopping by and hanging out / watching.

Right now, I have had THREE confirmations (you know who you are) and I am asking each of you to contact the people close to you and share your info / address if you are so inclined. I plan to arrive at each location at 10am or so. Morning is not my friend usually. ;)

Taroo - DC
Leeann - DC
Arengant - Concord, NH
Doc4444 - Somewhere in MA
Striperman36 - Mansfield, MA
ChooChooMan74 - Tiverton, RI

Dates - My current plans have me: DC on Friday the 13th (Yay, lucky day!)and possibly 14th, Long Island on the 15th/16th, Boston on the 17th - but only if that one is in the late afternoon b/c I have family stuff on LI the night before.

After the 17th - These are POSSIBLE, if the people confirm with me:
Bridgeport, Ct on the 18th
Oxford, Ct on the 19th
Hammonton, NJ on the 20th

Exactly why I signed up. TB service is good for what, 100,000 miles or approx 8 years? This is definitely worth the piece of mind and lack of hassle to find a competent person to complete this job...not to mention there's really no down time - I bet a dealer would need at least a day to complete this. And the more who sign up, the cheaper the (already cheap) price!

Also, if you haven't figure it out, I'm the Boston stop. I sent some PM's out inviting people to stop by. I have no problem if you want to come hang out. Just shoot me a PM if I missed you.

You have a PM, and welcome to the forum! You picked a PERFECT time to join up!

Racer, I'm still waiting to hear back on the Bridgeport job. I'll keep you posted. If nothing else, we can grab a drink or coffee (depending on the time of day!) as I'm running through.
