I went to clear the CEL this morning so that I can pass the yearly state safety inspection and surprise I have a code #1261 for #1 glow plug :banghead:
I had been doing the ORM on CRD #2 so it came as a surprise that I had an extra trouble code.
Anyhow, I guess I will put in the 5volt Mopar replacement plugs and module that I bought last year, and get a small loan for a GDE tune.
At 124,000 miles, I probably should borrow extra money and order new rocker/lifters while I'm at it.

You can get the steel ones for $100, no ECU change, no module, no BS.

Why would you mess with the ceramics that are known to break off?

the new mopar 5v units aren't ceramic, and he is most likely messing with because he already has the new mopar kit. So he can spend $50 to use his kit he has or $100 plus shipping to get the 7v steel ones from ID Parts.

Yes, I had already bought the Mopar steel replacement glow plugs and module, that's why I'm going that route.
And, I want a GDE tune for the other CRD. It's just a matter of bad timing, but things rarely break down during a good time. :5SHOTS:
