soon to be getting myself a 5 speed 03 lib from my buddy, he just fixing one of the syncros and it all mine! been doing some research and think i got it figured what i to do. Plan on getting some rock lizard bumpers, lift to fit some 31-32 tires. Thinking the 265/75/16 duratracs/toyo mt or something around 31x10.5x15 .Reading if i get some soft 8 i can fit the 15, will be upgrading to soft 8 either tire size i got to. Whats the best lift i can fit that wont break the bank, hoping to spend around 2000 on tires rims and lift.Plan on using this as a dd/work vehicle down oil field roads.

Right now my dd is a 10 duramax(want to keep my tc on it full time), had a xj for a bit with 35s, 6.5 la lift and lots of other stuff so im no stranger to jeeps and doing whats necessary to have a good jeep :D

look forward to learning lots!

Welcome
to run 265-75-16s you're looking at more than 2000 for lift / tires wheels etc since you need to throw in new 4.10s as well
Sticking to 245-75-16s you'll lose some power and mileage but won't be too bad and you can get by with 3.50 inches of lift along with JeepinByAls upper control arms for better alignment
Either OME or Ironman are good full spring lifts
add top plate and a clevis and you're good
top plate goes on top of the front assembly ( 1/4 inch gets you 1/2 inch lift) 3/8 inch clevis ( leave the bottom of the front shock out of the clevis 3/8 of an inch for 3/4 inch more lift. Altogether you'll be at about 3.5 inches of lift from new stock. ( 22.50 inches from middle of the wheel to bottom of the flare when settled in )

well since I see you added in 4.10s then you'll need 4 inches of lift to run 265-75-16s
again check jeepinbyal

yeah i wasnt counting the gears in the 2g,im hoping to spend under 1000$ on the lift. The old lady didnt like how much i spend on the xj so trying to keep this reasonable but dont need to be getting stuck in the bush either!

To do it right and be able to run 32s you're looking at a little over a grand .
The way we do them here is mostly full OME kit/927/948 springs, with the 132 L rear shocks, add in top plate , clevis , two extra rear upper isolators , Teraflex front bumpstops , JBA upper control arms, hockey puck ( two per side) for bumpstops in the rear
JeepinByAl has everything,.... but the hockey pucks
Pictures of the last one we did here started a low rider ( silver one ) left just a bit higher

Well you almost have me sold until the no pucks, deal breaker ;-) I'll look into it. What's a good setup for 31, seems like you know best.

Those are 30.5's on the silver one - 245/75r16

A 265/70r16 would be real close to a 31x10.50 just get the right wheels for them

Basically the same kit,
RE: the one with my name attached we used the Ironman since they are a little bit cheaper. Ride is every bit as good and everyone likes them. It includes everything but the front / rear bumpstops for a bit of a cheaper price. I don't mention it as I don't want folks to think I'm pushing a particular product with that name attached. I don't get anything if anyone buys it, just thought it was a great combination of parts that gets you a great ride and handling overall.

well i like complete kits, so i could clear 265 with that kit, plus banging out the old pinch weld? How much am i looking for gears and all necessary install stuff. I got a mechanic so im not worried about labour just the parts price.

Will the 2.4 can it turn 31*10.5? It's the sport with 5speed so does that mean it has 4.1
