It is just a nuisance, not a real big problem. The 05 CRD I just got does the drain back after setting for a couple of days. I just crank it up, place the shifter in neutral for about 15 seconds and then place in drive and on my way with no hesitation.
I am already accustom to this due to owning two Dodge trucks, one a diesel and one a 360 gasser and both will drain back after setting for a couple of days. The Dodge diesel transmission has been into twice for broken parts and on its third torque converter now a Suncost TC which is holding up well (to much torque

) My good friend and local transmission shop owner told me about the put in neutral trick and it works... If I go into the CRD trans pan for a filter change, I will replace the back-flow valve, until then, use the neutral trick....
ps; He stated what is draining back is the fluid in the trans cooler and cooler lines to/from the cooler. The hesitation is the pump charging all of the lines and cooler system back up to pressure with cold fluid and it takes a few seconds. Apparently a common issue on Chrysler Dodge Jeep products....
Happy Jeepin
