I've Hunted around the tech section and flipped through many pages trying to find my answer with no luck

I found that two of my tires have lovely slash marks on the side wall this morning. They are holding air but I was lucky enough to have a couple spares laying around

My question to you is....without lift Will I be able to Stuff a 245/75/16 Duratrac underneath if it's just a road queen for a while until I lift it?

I don't want to buy tires just to buy them again when I lift it this winter.
I'm sure this has been answered before somewhere else but I couldn't find the thread.

Edit
Did a bit more searching and I think I may be screwed. :ROTFL:

I'm in the same boat. But I've read that the largest that will fit without a lift is 245/70/16, if I recall correctly. Also 235/75/16.

Yeah that was what I found as well. I've got a few friends who work at the tire place i'll be going to. I'll see if they'll let me try on some shoes.

Depending on how much your suspension sagged you MIGHT be able to get away with them. I know a few people fit them with no rub(on a new KK), but I don't remember what tires they chose.

New you have a little more leeway
used you wouldn't be able to hit a nickle in the road without rubbing
Look at some of the pictures of those who have done it, no room at all

Yea I figured that would be the case but I unfortunately cannot wait for tires... I don't want to buy tires twice if I don't have to and I'm looking to have my lift by winter

I'll see what end up happening and I'll keep you posted.

Not going against you on this one mudd or anyone who brought great advice. to much knowledge here to waste. Maybe I can run on the old ones and my full spare until I get my lift on.

Thanks everyone for your advice

I've always had good luck selling tires when I move up to the next size
Have done it with 3 sets that I ran for a while on the KJ and then sold to go bigger
