I couldn't wait anymore, yesterday the Liberty got Frankenlifted! It's a driveway chore. The clevis on both sides kicked my &^%. Then last night I read some tricks on here that I wish I would have read before doing the install. The only rub I have is at full lock on the swaybar. It looks better than I expected, now I can't wait to get it off road. Back glass even pops open with the 31"x10.50" on the stock carrier.

This is really a two man job, at the very least a three hand job. Unfortunately, I have only two hands, so big thanks go out to my wife for helping me to intstall the lift on her KJ.

The fat kid mid install:

Last night I took it by the local Jeep dealership to compare it to a stock Liberty. The top of the fender flare on mine is as tall as a stock hood. Funniest part was the General Manager was closing up shop and was very impressed. He wants me to bring it by there today so they can take pictures to show potential Liberty buyers.

Benmar2000, sorry buddy I couldn't wait. You should be glad you weren't witness to all the cussing, hollering, and hair pulling. When you get ready to do yours, I'll help you with it.

Be sure to break that front end in good. Take it over some good sized bumps and things. Get some speed and brake really hard to cause a nose dive. I would hang some 30lb dumb-bells on my tow hooks if it was me.

It took me about 6.5 hours, with 5.5 of those hours just on the front as the rear was a piece of cake. The best part was my six year old daughter, Destiny, had to go to Karate for her belt test right after I got the front done. So we went with the back stock and I finished it when we got home.

The tires are Mickey Thompson Baja Claws.

30 pound dumbells? I've got some eighties, I'll try that! Right now the front is sitting higher than the rear. Heather told me to take it off road and beat it a bit. Have to do that before I get it aligned.

eighties!! What the heck!! I cant anything over 40's, I guess your a big-boy. I didnt even know they made them that big! 50 is as big as Ive seen. I said 30's b/c thats all I have at the house. I try to do 15 curls every morning and night, along with some push-ups. Wow, way off track! Nice jeep! I think stock libbys are silly now that I have my lift. They need to be at least 1in taller, 1.5 is perfect on mine.

Edit, unhook that sway bar and go up that ramp again. It will help break in the front of it.

They are all the same once you remove the factory suspension parts.

Read this, it should help clarify what I'm saying:

They are 15"x8" Rock Crawlers with 3.750" back spacing, sold by a few different companies, for example Xtreme steel.
