Alright so on top of a bad wheel bearing and needing new rear brakes, my e-fan decided to take a crap on me today. It spins freely on its own but when the engine is running it looks like it wants to turn but its stuck on something. Now my mechanical fan is working overdrive and it sounds like I'm driving a big rig.

Any ideas as to what could be the reason?

Check the appropriate fuse and relay. If you can spin it freely my first guess would be lack of power. If it's not the fuse or relay see if you can figure out how to jumper power directly and if it works then the sensor that turns it on is probably dead.

The fuse is fine not sure which one the relay is but the mechanical is toughing through the lack of an e-fan

If you lack your Jeep Owner's manual for the relay you can probably get a PDF version from the Jeep website. Otherwise go to http://colorado4wheel.com/manuals/Jeep/KJ/ for a copy of the FSM

Alright so I was looking at it today and it started up when i started the jeep, the jeep wasnt cold it was on the quarter mark. It then slowed down to a stop. Now does this sound like a normal function or not? I was about to head to pepboys to get a new one and I saw that it actually started up so i wanted to run this by you guys before I dropped $130
