have you seen USAFcop's rack? I believe he sanded the roughest parts of line-x down. Looks good on his rack!

I've seen his sport rack a few times, but I don't remember what the finished part looked like. At one point in time, Troy rented a sprayer and they sprayed their own stuff. If I remember correctly, they sprayed it on pretty thick.

I am not sure if you WANT the rough part to help loads from shifting, but the more texture you have to harder it is to keep clean IMHO. So far no linex on my rig, but doing touch-ups IS very annoying.

I will agree that bedliner can be a catchall for dirt making them look dirty. Different bedliner brands and finishes seem to be better than others. Line-x has some stuff that stays pretty clean. I'm not sure if it has to do with how fine they shoot it, formulations, or the UV protectants they use. From what I've seen, the Line-x appears to "look" the cleanest if that makes any sense. One of my concerns is how much it will fade over time, but it's a small price to pay considering the gecko basket rack will not be easy to touchup. It's definitely something that I would not want to take off and on for touch-ups.

I can't remember what the formulation was or if there are various formulations for Line-X, but I had Line-X in the bed of my last truck for 8 years, and it retained a deep, beautiful black look all the way up to my selling it just a couple weeks ago.

Line-X did offer it two ways, one with and one with out the UV protection in it.
Chris ( 03CDKJ on here ) has had some of his done for 5 years or so now and still looks brand new almost. He got it with the UV protectant in it.

Be sure to let us know how it goes. I'll probably have my rack match my rock rail paint when I get each, but I'd be interested to know how the bedlining works for you up top.

We used Mortens spray on liner for ours, not hard to keep clean, windex works great. the black on Troys has been on it for at least 6 /7 yrs and no fading. We bought the guns as a kit from the auto body/paint supply house.
