I have an 08 KK and have been getting a "gascap" warning popping up on my odometer upon startup.
The cap is securely in place and its not throwing any codes to cause a CEL to come on. whats the best way to trouble shoot this problem?
new cap?
new sensor?
check wiring?
anyone else hace this problem?

Same thing happened to me after I had the fuel blurp recall done... message happened once or twice then my CEL came on. Took it to advance auto and the code was for an evap leak. Ran over to the dealership a few days later, thinking they neglected to complete something, and they concluded the gas cap was "worn out". New cap and no problems for me since.
