Gents,

Just a quick background--80k, CDE eco tune, no egr, sparco hoses and that's pretty much it.

Just had a CEL come up with the following codes: P1255 / P0B08 / P0003 / P1812 / P0000

I'm stubbed as I've spent hours on google with no results as to what might be the cause. My brake pedal switch failed and I just recently replaced it. When that failed, cruise control stopped. Now with the CEL, I don't have cruise anymore.

Please enlighten me as I can't be the only one that's experienced this? :dizzy:

I cannot find those codes anywhere....how did you extract those codes?
Maybe something wrong with the CAN bus putting out false codes. :?

P0B08 - Auxiliary Transmission Fluid Pump Motor Phase W Current High
P1255 - Engine Coolant Temperature Circuit: Short to Ground
P0003 - Fuel Volume Regulator Control Circuit Low
P1812 - Transmission 4-Wheel Drive Mode Select Circuit Failure
P0000 - This code is undetermined ------- It may be a tranny error code

I believe that you have an electrical problem.

Trace your steps back .... if you have a 2006 CRD, then check for a chaffed wire harness in the engine bay on the fire wall behind the fuel filter.

Where do you find these codes? I cannot even find them in the 2006 Service manual.

Definitely agree with you here that this could be the harness shorting to chassis somewhere behind the fuel filter mounting bracket....especially the P1255 shorting to ground error. :)

It took some Googling.

thanks for the replies. I was able to narrow down some codes but I have no idea what they actually mean and how they relate.

I could have a short somewhere, but would that not just pop a fuse?

1st off.... what year is your vehicle?

2nd if your vehicle is a 2006 did you check behind the fuel filter head to see if your wiring harness isn't chaffed.

It's 06 and the wiring harness behind the filter head looks good. Is this a common issue?

Yes.

I Think you need to trace back your steps before the brake sensor replacement. Replace it with the old sensor if you still have it and see if any the codes go away.

Is the new brake sensor an OEM sensor?

It could be that the sensor is bad if all these codes showed up after the brake sensor swap.

New symptom, cruise does not work when engine is cold but the cruise light comes on and works when engine is warm. This is very odd.

May not be related. The trans will not shift into overdrive during winter right after start up. A sensor allows that after a mile or two of driving.

Wisdom of the forum said it was normal.
