I have an 03 KJ, about a few months ago I had some grumbling type noise from the front passenger side sounding like a blown wheel bearing. When I would turn the wheel that way or go around a corner it would stop then start when the wheel was pointing straight. My boyfriend replaced the wheel bearing even though it seemed fine. Unfortunately that did not fix the problem. He then replaced the CV which again seemed fine but installed a new one and still the noise continued. I havent been driving it to much because the noise is obnoxious and of course the faster I go the louder it is. The past few times i've taken it out I have heard a grinding noise from the passenger side but then worked itself out. After the last snow storm we had I took the Jeep out, put it in 4WD and it was okay, still making the grumbling noise but no grinding. Shortly after having it in 4WD for a bit, whenever I would slow down to a stop my whole front end sounded like it would shift forward and then would shift back when I accelerated. When it did that it felt like it was right below my seat. I have no shake in my steering wheel but just a bit vibration. My boyfriend began to think it was something with my front differential. He did change the front diff. fluid and still there has been no cure to this problem. Anyone have any idea's, insights, or had similar issues? Any advice is greatly appreciated right now.

Check the rear cv(tranfercase side) on the front driveshaft. If the boot is torn or missing, that is likely the problem.
