Sorry to hear about that, Larry. Man's best friend... never a lie. Been there... hated it... STILL hate it.

Marlon will be there with a week's advance notice, haven't been to a M&G in a while.

Larry, sorry to hear about the pup, it does hurt. I lost two within 3 months last summer, it's losing a memebr of the family.

You all getting a lot of snow up north? We've had 4 falls aboe an inch, one was 6-7" already.
I hate this stuff. Too bad I didn't have it ready, I got a small Craftsman tractor with a blower I may sell.

Another Black KJ heading home tonight with a few new parts.
Sure glad Megalos decided to come today, found something that could of been a lot of "fun" for him
All in all a great day, didn't get everything done, but got him in way better than he was ( after he gets an alignment tomorrow)
Plus I like teaching a teacher :ROTFL: :ROTFL: :ROTFL:
Thanks again for coming up!!

Tahoe
we had nine inches couple of days ago, and then 1.5 inches last night and another inch or so today! Still have done any thing with my driveway, Thats why I have a four wheel drive and all my good friends do as well
Bill collectors hate to get out and walk through snow :goink: :ROTFL:

So Tom, what kinds of "tweaks" did you do to Megalos' KJ? Or are they state secrets - you'll have to kill me if you tell me...?

Sure has been nice to have the KJ and the 4WD. Not that we've had that much snow (6 or so inches on Saturday, a couple more yesterday) but always fun to just yank up the T-case handle and GO!

Anybody traveling for Christmas? We're hosting family at our place so no worries about traffic jams due to Santa's sleigh or anything like that. After Friday I think I'm gonna just chill out till the first of the year, then I'll be on the road for 3 months - though I would like to come to the M&G at Mudd's Garage if we can work out the schedule.

Hey Tom, did you get a PM from StreetGlideOK over on JeepKJ Country about buying the 3.73's out of that axle we took out of my KJ? He's willing to pay for them, so...

Bob

Here's what happens when you don't clean off a gravel drive then drive over it and it packs becoming ice, my mom's house ( my future house next year) . I didn't get enough speed, started spinning as I got to the top, hammered it trying to muscle up, she stepped sideways before I could stop it. Tried to back down, but was over to side to far and it finished sliding over the berm into the snow pile. Took about 20 mins of chipping, digging, shoveling gravel to get it out,.... rubber will smoke on ice if you spin enough  . The next morning it rained, while backing down in Tahoe in 4x4, it ended up crossways, not much you can do on solid ice. :dizzy:

I hear we may get a 12 incher come Monday :banghead:

Tommudd is the best. Got me fixed up in the nick of time! The ball joint on the right side upper was toast!

New upper control arms from JBA, new rear upper and diff fluid change. I feel soon much more comfortable working on the jeep now. It's never too late to pick up new skills.

Waiting on the alignment with 2 new tie rod ends and I should be okay for awhile.

Thanks for everything Tom!

I had a Z-28 one winter in 90-or 91,got better mileage than my pickup or Jeep, but dang if there were 2 snowflakes that fell in a 50 mile radius, it would get hung up somewhere.
But was great for burnouts on Saturday nights though :-)r

New upper control arms from JBA,

here is the picture of part of the upper control arm ball joint
all that was needed to separate it from the arm was to cut part of the boot, nothing else was holding really

Tomorrow right side CV, install some test bushings, and possibly a new look for the front :pepper:

Well since your bored:

I put some Bosch wiper blades on the Jeep today that I got from RockAuto for $7 and mmmmm Mmmmm are they ever nice and quiet!

And my gas mileage is back up since changing the plugs and clearing some cel codes.

And you've been teasing us for weeks about some supposed changes to the front of your KJ - is this going to be a Christmas reveal or what?

I had a dream that I got laid off from Detroit Jeep and transferred to Toledo Jeep.

I was not happy. :P

... but in all seriousness, with Cherokee sales being what they are, that could happen.

This thing is selling so well it scares me sometimes. I mean our Jeep is still selling, but I have a fear of Cherokee killing it.
