I'm trying to figure out how to take off the interior lining of the sky slider. It needs to be cleaned really bad lol. Too much time open on the highway and on the trails has left quite a bit of dirt and mud on my ceiling. Just trying to figure out how to take it off and wash it. Its velcroed on in the front with 2 pop rivets.

No idea, but take pics. A lot of pics especially with the top off.

Wow. Thanks! That was easy. I could not find that for the life of me. I spent like 2 hours on google. Where did you come up with that?

Your welcome...
KK service manual.

Not sure what they mean with "discard the lift arms.". That one would concern me...

I believe it means to take out the cross bars that run through the headliner. They basically are aluminum rods that work like tent poles. After reading all that I'm no entirely sure I even want to attempt this. It sounds like performing surgery. I'm confident in my ability to take it apart, but not so sure on the putting it back together part. I may go with plan B and fab up a Velcro on removable liner for the interior. My buddy's family owns a fabric shop so he got me a nice deal on some ballistic nylon.

So I've been reading your board for years and finally decided to repair my skyslider. One of the clips that rides on the cables has broken so the roof has been askew for about a year.
Before I read this post I have removed the head liner and had the front drive disconnected. Ordered the new front drive, parts person at jeep said it would have the clips I need, it doesn't. I've been through all of the online resources I can find but can not find a part number for the clip things.
I have seen the exploded parts list for the top but it doesn't show the clips. (I hope they aren't part of another assembly)
I have a picture but I'm not sure how to post it.

Got it. So this is the right clip that scrolls along the cable drive and the hole to the left houses a pin that moves the front drive mechanism. Where/how do I get a replacement of this clip?

Anybody that has pic requests of the inside of a skyslider headliner just let me know before I button this up.
