Ran out of my meds yesterday, so no heart/blood pressure/ fluid pills until tomorrow I guess :banghead: They're at the Drugstore but with no fly zones all over Northwest Ohio can't go anywhere :|
Its even cold ( like 20 degrees ) down in Baton Rouge where my nephew lives,... CRAZY!!!

So how is everyone elses day going

If you wan to brave the cold, I think they'd consider that necessary travel. No point though it the store is closed.

We've got air handlers shutting down because of the cold air being pulled in. Fortunately I haven't had to go outside to work on them yet, I've been able to get them going from the inside.

Drugstore is open on a limited basis they said whatever that is, called the Sheriffs Department and they were total jacka**es like they always are. Said if I was caught out and they saw me they would stop me if they wanted to and would do whatever they deemed to be necessary.
I'm good for another day, don't feel like "playing" with jerkoffs today :ROTFL:

Tom, we don't have Level 3's issued over this way but not a lot moving that's for sure. Ted, I've been told there are other shops being shut down to conserve electricity for residential heating and take pressure off the grid - the village of Hartville lost power last evening for about 3 hours. Police and others were going door-to-door checking on folks, taking the elderly to warm facilities so they wouldn't freeze to death.

Weather like this brings out the funny nature of some people. I saw several yesterday who were wearing either very lightweight jackets or just shirtsleeves as if to prove they were tougher than the minus 36* windchill. But what's the point? It's very cold, a winter coat, hat and gloves doesn't make you a wimp - you actually look dumber walking around in shirtsleeves! :banghead:

Rant over...

Bob

When I ran to the store the last colder days we had ( not as cold as now but) saw a couple in their 50s with shorts on and him a cut off t shirt, she did at least have a jacket on. Everyone else had the common sense to have a coat etc on . Like you said it seems some like to say " I am badder than the cold" Granted I used to go with only a t-shirt and flannel shirt when I was young and it would be 25-30, but anymore bundle me up and sit me next to the fire!! :ROTFL:

Heck I've got more OT hours than straight time hours.

The blower motor died yesterday! Heck of a time to have no heat. :banghead: I am at the Jeep dealer now getting it replaced. I would do it myself except there is a "polar vortex" outside. :-)r

Had to work every day so far.. it said -12 when i went out yesterday. Libby wouldn't start because i believe i had fuel that was gelled and not enough cranking power. Got it started yesterday night though with some battery charger assistance and let her run for about 30 min.

Sounds scary running on 1 and 2 cyl stumbling like it did before they all got going.

Worked fine today though aside from slow cranking in the morning.

What part of Akron are you in? I think I've only seen 2 or 3 CRD's around here (Stark County) and those were mall crawlers. Where do you buy your diesel?

Right now I rent a House that is in Kenmore (the only part that is not a complete war zone), but I work in northern Akron/ Cuyahoga Falls.

The last tank of diesel I purchased before the temperature took a dive was in Kent/Ravenna at a Sheetz station. Its run fine in the 2 days since but the -12 was just to much for it. Today at 9 deg it started like it would any other day, didn't even crank slow.

I think I will chalk the freezing up to not enough antigel being run through it. I have a couple containers of the Lucas Stuff, my Dad found a case of it for $2 or $3 a bottle (the big ones that treat 250gal).

Last time out of the driveway was on the 4th.
Thought I'd better leave for a bit today and makes some tracks in the driveway before people start thinking I had died in here
Roads to Toledo were crappy at best, and the drivers are even worse. Drugstore had a line of 17 people when I got there, most times just walk in, get your meds and leave. Everyone must still be catching up from the snows
Drove through the park on the way home, snowmobiles/ 4 wheelers had it packed solid, although I was able to tear it up a little bit

Well I sent that last night and called you to update you. At this point, I think I've had trans issues for a while now and was just in denial about it???

Whatever. Still under 5/100,000 warranty so it's Chrysler's problem, NOT MINE. :D
