being 40yr old and being around longer then my 27 post and just frustrated does not give you the justification to make amusement out of those of us who lost their money.

Jeepoloigst : Im not amused !!, and your not the only one in this situation !! Do you really think coming on this fourm and demanding others get your money back will have a positive out come? I also wouldn't accuse someone of having "YOUR" bumper because it has jacking points and two holes for light's !! I bet your exclusive IDEA'S have been (THUNK) before you graced the jeep world! I would hope all that money you spent on a degree might crack the door of common sense !!

2- The rather heavy-duty winch seat on the bumper is also exclusively my idea as an extra and not Martin's and was to be integrated exclusively into my ordered bumper only so that it can accommodate my 12,000LB Warn PowerPlant winch.

3- i specifically ordered my bumper without the 2 integrated sports-lights and it also appears to be the case with the bumper on your Kj.

I have proof e-mail correspondences with Martin on this where it was agreed that the above two extras will be made exclusively for my Kj bumper only hence, the idea of the above extras came from me and not Martin.

Now what are those exclusive ordered extras that are exclusively my ideas doing on your bumper :?:

Here's a picture of the bumper any of us can order from RL

Image

It seems to have Hi-Lift points, a winch seat and plugs to block off sport-lights just like Mudd has. Maybe Martin has decided to add these into the standard design just like Mudd recieved. You can see the photo at: http://www.rocklizardfabrications.com/Liberty_rock_monitor.htm top left picture under both 02-04 and 05-07 sections.

I don't see how it's Toms fault if he orders something and RL sends it to him before sending you something. It's not like Tom has powers over RL or anyone else for that matter. If Tom had 'powers' to make RL give him discounts I'm sure all his friends (Tom's) would have all the RL products on thier KJ's also.

Unforchantly, RL can pick who he send something to whenever he wants. Just cause he chooses someone over you does not mean that that person has the power to make RL do what they want. Mudd and TJKJ2002 are great people and help anyone that will listen to them when and where ever they can, when asked and they have nothing to do with how RL chooses to run his company.

So in other words Martin has taken my ideas and use them on his bumper as standard design and yet again fail to keep his word and this time on the exclusiveness he committed himself to, nor did he have the moral courage to excuse me on using my ideas.

As with reference to the bumper on Toms Kj; no one here is or has said Tom is in fault. you're the first to bring this topic, If anyone is at fault it will be Martin/RL and his business ethics be it my bumper or not.

Sorry, I don't have your bumper with all the extra you ordered or whatever you ordered
Mine is a stock off the rack bumper like he builds for everyone, I didn't order a special built one like you did
Plus I didn't pick it up from him over Christmas not sure where you came up with that.
Now if you wish to continue making accusations may I suggest you do it through PMs since what you are trying to do will not work here
Only reason I think it should be stopped is the simple fact it is getting no one anywhere at all.

I wasn't going to waste my time here again, but since your accusations continue please read the following ( also look closely at the picture 501 posted
Take a close look, a very close look, no even closer
See the two round holes that have plastic covers in them where the fog lights go, yes the holes that you did not order on your " custom one off bumper" Now how did your bumper get holes in it and delivered to me when you didn't order yours with them?
If I were you I would be careful, since your story of accusing others is starting to fall apart, others will soon see your follies
Image

Hey smart Tom, the following quote from Martin's earlier e-mail correspondence with me will give you a clue but hey Take a close look, a very close look, no even closer

Quote >

new front bumpers have the driving light ports in the center section now instead of the wings, and will have plugs to cap the driving light port holes if you wish to not use them. The front bumpers are designed for the PIAA 004XT driving lights, which do not come standard with the bumpers, which is why plugs are included in case customers do not plan to get the lights anytime soon or ever.

If you wish further proof you can pm your e-mail and we'll send you the full e-mail communication with the so called Martin/RL. And hey relax don't panic no one is accusing you of anything, enjoy the bumper in good health be it mine or yours

I sympathize for anyone who has been ripped off. At the same time, I have no sympathy for those who persist in endless attacks against third parties who have not done them any harm and do not owe them anything. You are hurting your own cause and driving away people who might otherwise be allies when you do so. Get your day in court and if the facts are on your side I hope you win. I also hope you'll come to your senses and realize that this constant ranting against people for imaginary slights is something you should apologize for. If that's too much, at least back off and spend your time, energy, and vitriol attacking the person responsible - in court - and leave the rest of the world out of it. You've made your point (many times over) and I'm sure that anyone who might have been inclined to be wary of RL is fully aware of the situation by now.

You are not helping your cause by coming across as a lunatic.

At the risk of bringing back the dead, it seems some of the parties accusing are pointing fingers at each other. If one can not maintain focus on what the accusation is, and stick to that, they already lost. (no pun intended). I think the people with grievances have said their peace, now if I was them, I would simply state, anyone with similar problems to contact them via PM. That's not to take sides, that is for the better of the site, and how a legal issue should be handled. If the case is resolved, then update accordingly with what the court will allow.

So, when is the next get together?lol

Hello all!!
I'm the OP and thought I would shed some light on this subject as a few things have changed in my situation.
A little back ground (you can also go to my original post)
I first started taking with Martin in October of 2012 and made an agreement to buy that same month. He graciously gave me the ability to take 6 months to pay for all my items since the bill was rather high......for me.
After items were paid for in full, he would produce and ship which puts us around the April area. He also tossed in a few items for free such as shackles. After items were paid in full I gave a few months for production. To make a long story short I thought July or August would be more then enough time, but the months went by with no or little communication. I know life sometimes gets in the way and perhaps we don't responds as quickly as we should but because of the amount of money spent I was getting really nervous.
I will admit that after I started this thread things really seem to take off and I should get all my items by tomorrow, or at least that is what UPS is telling me. I will also add that Martin covered half the shipping cost because of the time that had gone by.
So, in my particular situation it looks like all has been delivered and I should start the mounting process in a few weeks. I can write more about that at a later time if anyone really cares.
When I could get a ahold of him, he he was responsive. My problem was the lack of communication which is what really started this thread. I hope somehow this helps others give them a bit of hope that there items could still be shipped.

Ken

Thanks, Ken. All of that is good information to have for anyone considering buying from him, including the good and the bad. I'm glad you're finally getting your stuff! :D

(And if you don't, maybe we'll see a "UPS in business?" thread down the road.) :ROTFL:

Thanks for the time line. Not sure I'm willing to wait 9 months for parts after payment.

In case you didn't know, Marty (owner of Rock Lizard Fabrications) was contacted by Mopar (Jeep Skunkworks division) to build products for their upcoming SEMA vehicle. However, he told them that he couldn't honor their request because he had orders to fill at his "Rinky Dink" business. Many great companies started as a rinky dink operation.

Though I didn't buy these new, got a pair of RL sliders coming my way, used. So Martin apparently must make them. So now there will be like 2 or 3 KJs in town with sliders on them!
