Mine has been fantastic since we worked on it! The only thumping noise now is the tailgate which I think has something loose. I should be able to fix that when some of this snow melts halfway through spring.

Glad to hear that! :pepper: Was going to send you a PM and ask how your KJ was doing

Hey that would be a great... :o ....now wait a minute, now that I reread this I'm not so sure about this deal. :-)r

AND NOW FOR THE GOOD NEWS
LATEST UPDATES FROM THE WEATHERMAN

The local area will be slammed with strong winds and another round of snowfall this evening. 2-3" of NEW snowfall is likely late this evening into early Monday morning. Winds will gust 25-40 mph at times creating widespread blowing/drifting of snow.

Wind chill values Monday-Wednesday morning will remain in the -20 to -40 degree range.

Sounds great

No I didn't. It happened just the other day I stumbled across a local builder that seems to know them inside and out. No rush yet ......knocking on solid real wood.....

Glad ya asked, my basement project is coming along nicely but still need to apply membrane, run wiring for new lights, paint, install a bathroom, then take the parade of fun upstairs for my evil plans. The good news is I finished 2 tables I have been working on

By the way, where is my bread you promised?

I ran into a fellow that happened to have his jeep and minivan taken care of by him, in Toledo, he said he fixed what the dealers could not and hasn't had any issues since. He also said his daughter used him to repair her kj that was an issue ever since new, dealer even threw 2 trans in it to try and get rid of noises/shudders. Was always there and never went away until maximum overdrive in Toledo did his thing.

I miss the old days of companies actually doing interviews. Used to you'd put your suit and tie on, drive two hours , sit in a cold outer office, then get grilled by 5 people for an hour, leave and drive part way home. At that point you feel as if you'd really messed up on some of the answers so you'd stop and have 3 -9 drinks or more eat a greasy bar burger and fries and drive on home.
Now days you submit everything on line, you get emails about what else they want to know. You then have a "phone " interview with 5 people asking questions, none of who you can completely hear. You get done, sit and think over the answers you gave while sitting in your sweats, and then walk to the kitchen to pour yourself some tea
Just not the same any longer................................. :banghead: :banghead:

something is missing

I agree Tom. Company I work at is so retarded. The expect everyone to have a 4 yr degree just to push buttons knowing that they will never promote you to a position requiring that said degree. There's a few contract maint. guys there they refuse to hire because they are a bit hillbilly'ish and only have a GED but they trust them enough to keep them around for 2-3 yrs and work by themselves and better than most of our own maintenance guys. I dont get. HR has their head so far up their arses they see daylight.

Many small shops will tell you the same story on how they fix dealer issues. Thats pretty easy to do nowadays. Very few really good auto mechanics out there anymore. If the computer isnt giving codes then they dont know what to do.

When its my time for a trans, it will be either a SharaDon performance or Sam. He's got the area reputation to build a dodge trans to hold 1000hp diesel. Then thats what I want. :D

I finally said "uncle" and went and got my computer degree for that very reason. (I just graduated last month.) I had been working in the field for 15 years, but when the job situation got tight HR would take all the applicants w/o a degree and deep six them right off the bat. I guess they feel that they can afford to be choosy. Problem is that the degree itself doesn't mean you actually know what you're doing. Most of my classmates were pretty sharp, but there were enough duds who got through to make me leery of the whole process. I'll tell you straight out: The louder someone brags about their degree the less likely it is that they know squat.

Yeah. Funny. I got my 4yr bachelor years before any of my managers/team leaders. And by our own internal requirements you had to have a minimum of 8yrs or 4yr degree, and 99% of our managers had neither at the time of appointment. Yet they became management. They already know who they want before the even have the internal interviews.

They dont want me cause I ruffle feathers too much. :jester: But now I'm very happy in my current position. Very little responsibilities. Clock in, clock out, decent money. Gives me more time to concentrate on my own shop to get out of a cancer causing carcinogenic factory. ;). Before its too late. Lol.

Very true but it was a customer, not the shop that told me that. I also don't think it was a paid endorsement :jester:
Finding a trans shop is the worst, at least for me because my 07 automatic is something I can't work on. :banghead:
