Very true but it was a customer, not the shop that told me that. I also don't think it was a paid endorsement :jester:
Finding a trans shop is the worst, at least for me because my 07 automatic is something I can't work on. :banghead:[/quote]

Tell me about it. Way more difficult to find a shop that can rebuild performance transfer cases and differentials.

My Tracker had a transmission failure at 22,000 miles and it took the dealer five tries to fix it. For two weeks I was driving to work in a different loaner car every day. My coworkers probably thought I was peddling dope on the side to afford so many cars...

Cold is right! This is getting ridiculous
You all know I have that thermometer that has the girl on,
summer time when its hot she is in a bikini, colder weather she puts on more clothes, coat, hat etc
this morning she was sitting huddled up beside a fire, never saw her do that before
May have to let her inside

Oh more snow coming next week to start February off

Well from the posts, you all up north aren't totally frozen to death, we even had -10* /-20* windchill down my way this morning, freakin' cold I tell you.

I lost a mother goat and two babies a couple weeks ago, both still born and came out rear feet first, I think it tore momma up inside, she died that evening. Had a lot of lots momma goats die in the area this winter, must be something in the air.

Working on my bathroom still, 100yr old walls are so out of plumb and not square. Of course that is the corner the shower has to go in :banghead: Finally decided to sister new studs up next to old ones and got it all plumb and level, now on to the electric and plumbing. Have to re-plumb 70% of the house, going with the new PEX system, all plastic pipe, brass fittings, and crimped connections 1/3 the cost and 1/4 the time.

Now, I will even get to a Jeep question, actually 2

1. Are the hood struts hard to find :banghead:
2. how hard is it to replace 3rd brake light on roof?

Tire early review, about 500 miles.....
Cooper AT3's, 245/70/16
Great in the snow, but really cuts down on ability to play though :banghead:
Actually have to work to get a slide going :jester:
Very light hum on highway, get the wife talking and all gone :ROTFL:

Last time I checked, Napa had hood and rear glass struts in stock. Rear 3rd brake light is 2 screws, easy.
Sorry about the goats.

Hey all!

Hope you're all keeping warm in spite of the polar vortex that has set up camp around here. I'm on the road basically till mid-March but I'll check in occasionally to catch up on the latest gossip, home decorating projects and new bread recipes. Ya'll got a lot going on!

Be safe!

Bob

Depends on what you are looking for
I always go to swap meets you never know what kinds of goodies you may come across
I used to do all of the Ford and also Mopar Swap Meets within 400 mile range
If nothing else I just enjoy the wheelin'and dealin'

I'm not even sure what I would be looking for, other than a "deal". Might try it, assuming I am over this flu completely by then.

I've been to dozens of computer swap meets. Nice thing there is that I know the value of what I'm looking at and can tell the bargains from the ripoffs. When it comes to Jeeps I am a n00b. Is it true that I can download a cylinder pair, install it under Ubuntu, then have a V-8 Jeep engine with more megabytes and faster RAM?

See I'm on the other side, give me an old Flathead Ford , small block Chevy or a Harley Shovelhead, Blockhead or Knuckelhead and I'll make any of them purr...........
but start mentioning anything about computers , ram, megabites, gigsflops, Tebibyte, cloud storing or whatever they're talking about and I just glaze over. :(
But yet I spend way too much time on one while it works :ROTFL:

Blankety blank computers! After retiring from my previous IT employment. I only fire one up when my phone wont handle the job. Can't hardly stand em. One of the few things that just might make me cuss. I'd rather smash my finger with a hammer!

Ok rant over - back to sunshiny sky's and 80 degree temps. :ROTFL:
