Pushing 226k in the 04 KJ, aside from now needing a new PS rack and pump as of just recently, it runs and drives great!! Yesterday on my way home from work the CEL came on. Put a code reader on it today after work in the parking lot, P0700 came up 2x, wouldn't clear. Runs and drives fine. PS pump wining bad and rack making noise....will be changing both in the next few weekends when I get a chance.

Kept the reader plugged in while I was driving. 5 codes while driving, after I shut it down only 2 remained. While driving P0700, U1A0B, C086B, P1843, and P0700. Seems like they're pointing towards the tranny. C is chassis code....what?? U is a jeep/chrysler specific code I have found no info on. All others point towards tranny. I thought that I saw P0740 come up but it did not stay. That would be TC lockup solenoid related. Am I watching the tranny computer start to fail or is the ground to the tranny computer going bad??

Today I'm having three and four codes, P0700 and P0740 both twice. Sometimes P0740 just comes up once. Strange. None of those other codes anymore??

Shifting fine. It might have a slight shudder after a downshift. torque converter seems to lock up just fine.

Could my solenoid pack be on it's way out?? Bad connection?? Any advice?? Thanx!
