Hi I have a 2005 liberty limited crd and my overhead display flashes lift glass open the interior lights stay on and the annoying beeping noise won't stop. Any idea how to correct this problem. Thank you

There is a small switch inside the glass latch mechanism that senses that the glass is latched tight: "Tailgate Flip Up Ajar Switch" with Violet/Yellow and Black/Orange wires on it.

This switch is known to fail as it gets water ingress.....use an Ohm meter to test if it is working.

I am not sure if the contact needs to be closed or open to signal that the glass is properly seated so try shorting the two wires together and then try pull the switch plug off....one of the actions should stop the "glass open!" message until you can get a new switch. If this does not work you may have a wiring problem...the Black/Orange wire is supposed to go to ground....try adding another ground to this wire from a clean chassis point.
