I have been noticing alot of strange noises coming from my rear end in my 06 crd, it only has 13000 miles on it. Is this a common occurence for these libertys ? this is my first liberty. Also does any company make and "stronger gears" that i could replace the stock ones with ?

Does yours have the LSD? If so, probably needs the special additive for it putting in there. Mine had noises (noticeable when cornering) and the additive fixed it. Apparently a common problem and easily fixed.

Might want to check underneath and make sure your pinion seal on the diff isn't leaking. Been at least a couple of those, mine at 8500 miles. Be easy to spot, there'll be oil coating the underside of the vehicle in a narrow band right above the seal, and most probably oil dripping off the seal. If it's been leaking for a while and has thrown most of the oil out.....

Mine is going in the dealer in the morning for driveshaft replacement at 5000 miles. Nasty vibration at 95-102 mph.
