The red arrow points to the "clevis lift". That's 3 conduit nuts per side(3/8") for measuring reasons. The nuts aren't necessary. The black forks below it is the clevis.

Check out this topic for more info and pics: viewtopic.php?f=3&t=44037

Thank you very much for info...

You're welcome. There's reasons why I don't get involved in all the shenanigans lol. The biggest difference is that you're stock springs will sag faster than my OME springs. ALL springs sag, it's just a matter of how much and how fast. If you upped the spring rate with different springs they'll withstand sag a bit more, or atleast not sag as much. Either way, a-arms will always be an upgrade. Enjoy the lift and the height, I know I enjoy mine 8)

Ok i measured, from center of hub to bottom of fenders. Front 22 1/4 rear 22 1/8.. if and when I do would like a full spring lift , What would be the lift that would get me there..no less, and not much more ?

I ran the "pre-soft ride" Skyjacker coil lift and was at 23.75" in the front with no spacer plates, just a 3/8" clevis lift to compensate for the ARB and winch. Was 23.5" in the rear.

Thank you for info..

No problem and thank you. I'll gladly give advice and learn whatever I can. I'm just not here to bash someone else's rig. After all, I'm one of the last to talk. I have a chrome brush guard, and I know that's hated by quite a bit of people in the Jeep world lol

Well consider the stock new height was about 19 inches , so add the OME kit for example and you have 21.5-21.75, add a 1/4 inch top plate and you'll have 22-22.25 right where you want to be
For Ironman add 1/4 inch top plate and 1/4 inch clevis and be right about the height you want
Just remember everything you add in the front doubles, add 1/4 inch top plate for example and it will give you 1/2 inch over all

Thank you tom.. whats is this clevis ?

O if the front doubles they call it a it a 2.5, so i it acually that or 5, and with mine how did I end up almost with 3.5 with mine by the messures I gave you? Ok just went outside and messured , front pick, 3 inch, top Plate, 1/4 inch and Between that and spring is a 1/2 inch spring isolator or What ever its called.. so thats 3 3/4.. plz help me with this math so i understand .. rear 3 1/2 pick.. so daystar days 2.5, but actual spaceing is 3 3/4 front ,3 1/2 rear, which about matches What you sayed the from stock 19 , to the 22.5 to 22 1/4 that I have,. Why am I higher then called for ?

What you are looking at are the daystar parts, the 1/2 inch isolator and the bottom isolator are all part of the daystar lift along with the metal top plate thats 1/4 inch thick. Your'e measuring wrong, well not wrong but thinking is wrong on how it all adds up in there.

Stock coil,Rancho RSX shock, and daystar spacer compared to a Frankinlift assembly. You can clearly see what is a better setup.

Look more closely, the differences(not the part difference either) are plain as day and why the daystar spacer lift is never a good idea. But not my $$$.

Plain as day when you understand how a suspension works and the function of a spring and shock. Not knowing that you wouldn't notice how little actual travel there is on the one with a Daystar installed, how rough the ride would be due to very limited travel plus having the spring preloaded from the get go. You also wouldn't notice that it takes very little for the Daystar springs to become stacked and again bad ride/ poor handling and wears out the springs and shocks faster.
But...depends on if a person wants to know or not doesn't it?

Yep. I can tell that it has much more travel. Much more.. plz..if you want to compare a real differences put a full coil, or a jba coil over spring next to that daystar assembly, then I would agree with you.. still trying to be a jerk.. and put my rig down..just because you got one of the badest kj around, doesnt make you bad azz to....me and others on here have already move on with this deal, and you haven't.. get your head out of your tail pipe, and let's move on .plz

Well I have far from the most bad a** around here not even close , it was just a good opportunity to show others when comparing a lift what to look for . I never mentioned your name, never quoted you, was only pointing out to anyone that may view this post somewhere in the distant future. I never put your rig down did I, no I didn't . Not trying to be a jerk either just pointing out things due to I constantly get PMs asking what to do or which way is the best

Sorry to ruffle your feathers when I wasn't even talking to you
carry on and I will as well Tell your friends hello

Shenanigans.
Really what's the problem.
Could it be he decided not to carbon copy. It's his Jeep and he's happy. He's asked for the bashers to stop. So now he's getting PM's. He's asking those to stop too.
I'm sorry this has been allowed. The people who go against the almost forum mandated
RL
Tommudd lift/JBA
Moabs
Dura trac's
Etc.
And posts results of their experiences are bashed.
He spent his money it's his Jeep.
Don't like it block his posts.
The facts are
He ordered/ spent money
He got what he spent his money on. He installed. He's happy.
Well he would be if he didn't have all the bashing.
I'm using he for both sexes, easier to type. Not trying to be offensive.

Some information on here you should take it for what its worth. In my opinion if you're asking if a spacer lift is the way to go you should ask local 4x4 shops about their preference. They won't tell you no its a bad idea if they suspect you're a potential customer. If you ask them, would they put a spacer lift on their own vehicle? If not, Why?

The answer I got, was due to the increased pressure on the stock coils. The same answer that Tom has been giving for a long time. Also, I had a lifted Jeep before that had a spacer lift. Other than an issue with the CV, the ride was hard.

"ok I have a 2003 liberty renegade, I live in the flat lands of florida, just sand and mud. no rock crawling. I had a daystar 2.5 lift and all new suspension because they was tierd. sitting on 255/70/16 tires with 16x8 pro comps. been on for a month, no problems and drives like it did stock....so with that said, I see a lot of bashing on this lift, I im ready to hear not rumor, but hands on about this lift with new all new suspension added..weather good or bad, or what I may need or not need in future"
That's the OP for this 4pages of firestorm. In it he clearly says, he's ready to hear the truth, not rumor but hands on about his lift, good or bad. He got what he asked for. He even said he has seen the bashing, so he knew upfront what he was going to get. He got the truth about his lift. He didn't like it, oh well. Never ask a question that you may not like the answer to. He was told about the problems with his lift, and he got defensive. Now he says people are harassing him with PMs? If that is the case, then the moderators/administrators should be involved.

As for the business about not being allowed to think outside the box and be different, hogwash. I'm a prime example of being different. If others don't like what I chose, frankly I don't care. I'm running alloy 15" wheels with 30x9.5 Cooper STT tires. I'm running Monroe Reflex rear shocks for a Durango. I'm running a 1/2" clevis lift, without even using spacers or conduit nuts, OMG! Next, I have a set of RL sliders to put on, and they are the plain models not the fancy ones that some run. No one is hating on me, or if they are, I haven't seen it. People get tired of warning others about the pitfalls of doing things that have proven to be bad, and then people don't listen and come back whining about it. I get tired of reading "the guy at Autozone told me this stuff can cure cancer, stop global warming, and give me 500hp when I add it", when I have said over and over, don't waste your time getting advice from parts store geeks. Dare to be different, great. Be prepared to be heckled if you were warned ahead of time, and you end up with egg on your face.
