I got mine as a pack of 6 at modells. Still ice hockey season, so I can't see them being too hard to find.

I've never heard of Modell's, but looking at their website, they are similar to Richard's Sporting Goods which I tired... Maybe I'll try one of the other ones in the area... Theres like 3 of them around here.

If I went with the 4" bump stop that JBA sells, what length would I need to cut it down to?

Haha... I didn't even notice that it changed it from D I C K ' S to Richard's... The one I tried is a smaller store, I'll try the bigger one on the other side of town this weekend.

If I remember seeing it in the forum right, there's like a little step built into them. Cut to that, it should be about 2".

Versus starting a new thread (and I did search), I seem to recall the option of installing just spring isolators, a clevis spacer and some top plates as a way to get a minor lift without replacing the springs, etc.

Is that correct? If so, what exactly would I need and what am I looking at for height? This may be a good start for me to gain some height before I swap out the OEM suspension. I only have 20,000 miles on it and may wait until something blows before I change everything out. Ideally I'd like a more level looking ride.

I'm not too familiar with the suspension components and probably wouldn't know a clevis if I saw it. I'm going to have a friend help me install but he's more familiar with body lifts on trucks than anything. Any pointers on the install would be great.

First no body lifts on KJs and KKs only suspension
Now you can install a 1/4 inch top plate for 1/2 inch in height, add 3/8 inch clevis for 1.25 inches of lift in front , for the rear every upper isolator you install gives yo 1/2 inch of lift, so depending on if you want it level or the stock rake depends on how much you add

Thanks, Tom. I know there's no body lifts, I just meant that's all he's really familiar with so some pointers on suspension lifts would be appreciated. I'm sure he can figure it out, though.

So the top plate and clevis are for the front only and the isolator is for the rear? I found the top plates and isolators on JBA's site, but where would I look for the clevis spacer?

I assume I wouldn't need anything else for that amount of lift if I went 1.25" in the front and 1" in the rear.

Go pick up some conduit nuts from Home deport. 6 total, 3 per side gets you 3/8" clevis(each nut is 1/8"). New-stock KKs sit around 18" front, 19" rear. Take some measurements of your KK from the center of the hub to the fender and you can do some math that way for how high you want to go on each end.

You'll be fine adding just the plate, clevis, and isos. Not enough lift to cause problems.

This will help you understand the top plate and clevis:

Thanks for that.

I did some quick measuring over the weekend and came up with the following:

Driver's side front: 17.75"
Passenger's side front: 18"

Driver's side rear: 19"
Passenger's side rear: 19.25"

Is there a limit to how many isolators you can install? I saw that the isos on JBA are noted for the front but I assume they'll work for the rear.

I was thinking of doing the following, if it'll work.

Driver's side front: Top plate and 3/8" clevis - should get me to 18.5"
Passenger's side front: top plate only - should get me to 18.5"

Driver's side rear: 3 isos (if possible) - should get me to 20.5"
Passenger's side rear: 2 isos - should get me to 20.5"

Edit- just read that link that stated only 2 isos per side.

I'd do 2 isos. Safe and tested enough times lol. Put them on the top.

Put on the top plate for 1/2" of lift, getting the front up to 18.5", then 3/8" clevis gets 3/4" of lift to get about 19.25". Then you can add 1 rear iso per side and get the rear at 19.5" to keep the rake, but almost be level, or do a 1/4" clevis and no rear isos to sit level, or add 2 isos and sit at 20" in the rear and have almost the stock rake.

For comparisons sake, my 3.5" lift sits me at 21.5-21.75 up front, and depending on where I am, my passenger might come out to 22" BUT I know my driveway isn't the most level. The rear is at 21.5" and I sit level.

I don't mind the stock rake and I don't notice the difference between the driver's side and passenger's side heights, so those aren't a huge deal. For simplicity's sake, I'll probably just go with the top plates and 3/8" clevis for the front and 2 isos in the rear and be done with it.
