Yeti, I see from your files that you found a solution to how to fix this.
Where did you get this fix because I think that there is a small error.

Image

The first and third table is the original and the second and fourth is the mod.
I believe that the red circles should stay as 3600.

Wow that is a lot different than I expected. I was reading up on EGR tables for EDC16's and they were saying that the table values were target flow rates from the MAF sensor. In order to determine the flow expected from the EGR they would put in an expected MAF reading less than a certain maximum. For example, if the maximum flow rate was 1000 mg/stroke and they wanted to run at 50% egr they would see the expected MAF reading at that point to 500 mg/stroke. The egr was then expect to account for 1000-500=500 mg/stroke of flow. In order to terminate it they would set all points on the table to 1000 so that it always expected full flow across the maf and the egr never needs to account for it.

Nope, you have the idea.
The egr table is a much bigger 16x12 and disabling requires setting all to 15500.

Yeti calls this EGR Control and it may be similar to egr hysteresis, not sure, still learning.

I believe it is Hystersis now that you mention it. I dont know how people found this. I spent like 2 hrs last night trying to track it down for myself.

for found this in mine i have paid 3 professionals and i think it's the same on your's , this man call this two humps egr control driver , after this , you found the really duty cycle of egr work , but i dont understand what dose it mean "hysteresis" , sorry , for what i have proved the two line at 500 point and 400 point seem to be the tollerance in the turbine value

This is where I had been reading:

This link looks similar to what was done in the pictures above, they call it Hystersis, basically just turning the EGR off:

https://sites.google.com/site/vagecumap/9-egr-removal-from-edc16-hexdump

There is also this method in which you change the expected MAF rate within EGR control table to the largest number like this:

https://sites.google.com/site/vagecumap/winols-making-map-changes

Great Reference, Thanks Mass-hole!! I've been looking for some sort of tutorial. This appears to be very comprehensive.

We have different hardware than those VW guys. And with software, where they have 5 humps (and need to modify 2), we only have 2 humps. These are the correct controls anyway.

By the way (BTW), thank you for sharing your files that you paid for.

Guys, I have seen a few ecu modification tutorials and never have I seen table axis modification. I really think they made a mistake on this. I used WinOLS and used the axis header start values to create the table. I think that whoever made this, just manually zeroed out the last axis value thinking it was table data.

Agree or disagree?

It's good for learning the basics and did help me identify 2 potential EGR tables, I am trying to figure it out on my own just so I know what I am doing. It turned out that the tables I found were the ones that were edited. In the existing 808 egr delete tune .

Def read through everything and it will give you an excellent understanding of all the interconnects between the diff maps. Then you have to find them.

Does anyone know if out maps are in injection quantity or torque. I have read many times that the EDC16's maps are in torque(N-m) and that somewhere the is a conversion table from torque to injection quantity(mg/stroke). Is this how it works in ours?

should be the two maps after the torque engine limiter ,the first is to act as quantity 'diesel / air, the second should be the smoke limiter

I have read this too.

Looking at my (2006-808) table values for Driver's Wish (as an example):

RPM= 1400, Pedal= 19% gives a table value of 261
26.1 mg/cycle seems okay
26.1 N-m = 5.1hp

RPM= 3200, Pedal= 69% gives 2963
296.3 mg/stroke is high
296.3 N-m = 133hp seems okay

My guess is that N-m is correct.

I don't get this need to DIY the tune, why not just give GDE some business and get a proven outcome.

Some people like to do things themselves rather than pay someone to do it for them.
Let me guess, you always take your CRD to a mechanic for service, right?

I simply do not trust me more if i do not see the work, I did make three maps and all three were done bad, dangerous, and so I started to learn in order to be sure of what I have in the ECU ,I think is simply ,I do not trust anyone and to where I can, I do work on my KJ

What do you need Yeti? Do you want mass-hole's egr maps or the driver's wish map that I used as an example?

What I need is the N-m to IQ conversion map.

I am getting a P0100 and P0102 code for the MAF sensor. This became apparent to me after I loaded Yeti's stock egr delete tune and went to clear the codes using Torque App. When I clear the codes these two remain persistent and the CEL comes back on next time a start the car. I was watching the MAF in torque and it just sits at 18.9 CFM no matter what I am doing with the gas pedal.

This is nothing against Yeti or his tune. For all I know it has been like this for months but i just noticed it now when i went to clear the codes.

I took the maf out and cleaned it. No change.

Does this sounds like a bad MAF? I would think there would be at least some change if it was a boost leak.
